Site currently overgrown - necessary to tidy up before any construction work begins. Currently no storage facilities. Strathclyde University proposes using shipping containers as storage devices. GCC noted that there may be need for planning permission depending on size of containers. Possible power supplies close to site due to lamps on adjoining road. Site is considerably big and design must note main points of entry from across bridge and not current gate on east side of site. Possibility of using the existing buildings gable adjoining to site as canvas for projections.

Discussions on site focussed around the use of the green space (as allocated by GCC/GHA) as well as the disused railway line above, the arches/vaults below it, the weighing station and the re-imagining of the Greek Thomson Church. A further meeting with Peter has been arranged to discuss this site in more depth. Meeting to be attended by Strathclyde University (Derek and Graham), GCC and Laurieston Arts (Peter).

GCC highlight that branding of designs should be discouraged as GCC can not be seen to promote one company over another. GCC agree that a vertical project could be a worthwhile exercise. Site may be too small to host scope of works on site. Adjoining sites could be used. Development and Regeneration services (DRS) are looking to knock down listed building on opposing side of road. To be confirmed whether this will take place before or after commonwealth games. DRS to arrange a visit to site for access to hangers behind listed building. Large green space to west of site could be reactivated through use of it as a sculpture park for commonwealth games.
