About us: Our Beginnings The business was started as Awesome Signs at The Ark Christian Ministries in 1998. The aim was to help the destitute by providing them with various screen printed products which they sold to earn am income which assisted them in providing for their families. It soon became apparent that to truly empower them we would need to equip them with marketable skills, and so we started a screen printing training program. This ethos of service is one of the cornerstones of the business and still today remains one of our deďŹ ning characteristics and priorities. Our Experiance We have over 30 years experience in the printing and signage related industries, from design all the way through silkscreen, litho, pad and digital printing, to signage manufacturing and erecting. Our experience in the industry has held us in good stead and we have become one of the more dynamic and progressive suppliers into the various markets, and we are very proud to have established and still continue to do business with many well known and established corporate brands. Our Services We offer a fully comprehensive printing and branding service, across most printing aplications including all stationery, promotional items and corporate clothing, ag and banner events products right through to shopfrontage and vehicle signage. We are also one of the few medium sized businesses in SA, who specialise in full colour CMYK halftone silkscreen printing onto all types of substrates. Why a screen print is better than a digital print It is a little known fact, and one that your digital supplier wont tell you, but screen printed products have a far longer life span, retain their colours much longer and handle much better than digital prints. Why is this Digital print inks are super refined because they are fired through minutely small jet holes in the print heads, whereas screen print inks are passed through a mesh. It is estimated that in most cases the screen printing process deposits up to ten times the amount of ink compared to that of a digital printer. Because of this difference, digitally printed colours are far more likely to fade when exposed to UV light, and because of this low ink deposit, the prints do not hold up well to abrasion and handling, when compared to screen prints. How does this effect you It effects you financially, firstly because if you purchase digitally printed products, you will need to replace your printed products far more often than what you would if you had purchased screen printed products. And secondly, because the costs for digital printing remain a constant irrespective of the quantities purchased, whereas with screen printing the costs reduce as the volumes increase. In closing Yes, admittedly, digital printing, on small runs, can be produced in shorter turn around times, so if you only need one or two prints, or your deadline will justify the additional cost then by all means go the digital route. However if you require more than one or two prints, and are concerned about maintaining your brands professional corporate identity (colour fastness and appearance) or you have other projects that would benefit from the cost savings, then screen printing is the only sensible option.

Executive This upmarket option is either die cast or acid etched in your desired shape, the recessed areas are then inlaid with a coloured epoxy in your corporate colours. Doming Both of these two options can then be either hard or soft domed. Fittings The badges can be finished with either a pin type or a magnetised fitting. Key Rings / Pull Tags These items are manufactured from a rubber silicate which is die cast and heat fused together. This process enables them to be formed with a 3D appearance.
