Nathan Pifer played collegiately at Covenant from 1980-83 and returned to his alma mater in 2009 as head coach. Pifer led the program to three national tournaments, including its first-ever NCAA Tournament in 2014. The 2014 squad also claimed the program’s first NCAA era conference title with a USA South Tournament championship.

Brian Crossman coached the Scots for 21 years and holds the program’s career coaching record for wins with 286. He was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2011.

Walter Bowman (left) was the head coach of the program from the last match of the 1967 season through 1979. Bowman guided the Scots to a pair of NCCAA National Tournament appearances and had a 119-46-27 overall record in his 12-plus seasons. Bowman also coached the first two players to earn All-America honors (Don Harding in 1976 and Tom Lochstampfor in 1979). In addition to soccer, Bowman also served as the head men’s basketball and baseball coach while at Covenant.
