Proximity Employment Programme
The Madrid City Council Employment Agency is coordinating a project called the Proximity Employment Programme (PEP), aimed mainly at the unemployed from the districts of Carabanchel, Usera, Puente de Vallecas, Villa de Vallecas and Villaverde, and in particular for women with special employability problems, immigrants, young people, the over-45s and the long-term unemployed. nursing assistants, auxiliary home helps, specialists in telephone assistance, specialists in domestic services, auxiliary cleaning and laundry workers and basic catering service providers for care centres. It should be noted that there was a commitment towards insertion of 38% of the unemployed engaged in our specific occupational training accompanied by work experience.
