Pastor’s Corner: Depressed, Anxious, and Stressed By Joe PalmerPastor Fellowship Baptist Church We each want peace. A college student in China once said to me in a most longing way, “All I want is peace.” It was pitiful, but she was not abnormal. Would not most of us cry out the same? Twenty percent of the general adult population will deal with a debilitating bout of depression some time during their life. The other 80 percent will suffer with their depression but manage to keep going. One in six of us suffer with serious anxiety. The other 5/6 of us just press on nervously (at times) through life wondering what lies ahead. Stress meets us daily, and six out of ten Americans feel overstressed. It is possible to live without depression and anxiety and to deal with stress in a positive way. Paul said, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.” Philippians 4:11 If you seek peace, or if you would like to help people have peace, then plan on

is the most beautiful part of Pinal County. It has also been the area hardest hit by volatility in the commodities market with the opening and closing of mining operations,” said Pete Rios. “Pinal County supports economic development directly through our staff and also by working with economic development foundations and coalitions who are often the ‘boots on the ground’ helping local businesses grow, expand and flourish.” “We know that the county’s economic prosperity is linked to the opportunities that are created in all of our communities, which is why I am pleased to present this contribution on behalf of the Board to support the Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition,” Rios said. The Copper Corridor meets the third Friday of every month at the CAC Aravaipa Campus. Meetings begin at 8:30am.
