Big D’s Market offers just about everything By Vicki Clark Everything but the kitchen sink…well almost, is now available at Big D’s Market in Kearny. Formerly CJ’s, Big D’s is under new ownership and management and is offering a wide array of convenience items and much more. Darrell Wallace,

Genaro “Harri” Lopez, age 79, 5/14/33 - 10/20/12, a loving father, grandfather and a zealous Jehovah’s Witness. He will always be remembered for his preaching and always prepared with his witness tracts in his shirt pocket. As John 5:28 & 29 promises us that we will be with him again on paradise earth. The scripture quotes, “Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.” He is survived by his wife of 55 years Enedina Lopez, sons Jerry Lopez, Arnold Lopez, Ruben Lopez, daughters Frances Jaimez and Veronica Villanueva. Services will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness at 2 p.m. on November 3rd, followed by a dinner at the Bullion Plaza in Miami, AZ.

been transformed into a welcoming space with lots of stuff at great prices. Along with grocery and household needs, the market also has a whole new menu including breakfast burritos, burgers, hotdogs, tacos, carne asada, along with snacks, cold beer and sodas.

But that’s not all, an ice cream parlor has also been added with both hard and soft serve ice cream, shakes, sundaes, shaved

ice and fountain drinks. Propane, diesel and unleaded fuels are available as is automotive maintenance items and

many chances to play the lottery. Back in the kitchen, different specials are offered daily with Thurs. always being Chili Bean Day. Special orders for breakfast burritos and sandwiches can be called in for pickup and the salsa is homemade daily. All the food items on the menu can be ordered for take-out or eat-in and coming soon will be soups offered on Sat. and Sun. Also in the works are weekend barbecues on the grounds outside featuring pulled pork, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Big D’s is located at 1113 Tilbury Dr. and the phone number is 363-7207. Store hours are 4 a.m. to 1 a.m. Mon. through Fri and 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sat. and Sun. Kitchen hours are 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. for breakfast and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. for lunch and dinner.
