Conway Symphony Orchestra began as a joint project of the music departments at Hendrix College and UCA and held its debut concert in 1984. Its musicians are a mix of professionals, students and talented community members. Under the direction of conductor Israel Getzov, Conway Symphony Orchestra presents seven concerts annually, including a free summer concert. Recently, the organization has expanded its community and educational outreach programs. Conway Symphony Orchestra brings music into elementary and intermediate classrooms and provides local elementary schools and the Boys and Girls Club with free vouchers to its children’s concert. In addition, individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities are invited to be guests at concert performances on a regular basis. Conway Men’s Chorus is an association of 50-60 local men from all walks of life who love to sing and give back to their community through the joy of music. The group performs in concert twice a year—in early May and again in early December—at the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus. Each performance is preceded by 10-12 weeks of intensive rehearsals. The chorus is underwritten by member and individual donations and corporate sponsors.

Conway Community Arts Association is a live theater group that promotes the arts in Conway by providing professional, dynamic and unique theatrical experiences. The volunteer-run association presents several productions each year. It fills the roles in the productions through open auditions, and most of the parts are played by local residents. Performances are held in The Lantern Theatre, which recently opened on Van Ronkle Street in downtown Conway. Conway League of Artists has more than 100 members representing five counties. The majority of its members are painters, although sculptors and photographers and some who work in 3-D media are eligible as well. The league sponsors several shows annually. The largest, the Tri-County Show, is a juried exhibition held in November at the Faulkner County Library in Conway. It is open to all artists 18 and older in Faulkner, Perry and Conway counties, as well as to league members from other counties. A small fee is charged for entering, and monetary awards are given to first-place, secondplace and third-place winners in a number of categories. Baum Gallery, located in the west wing of McCastlain Hall at the University of Central Arkansas, is an educational art museum for UCA students, faculty, staff and the central Arkansas community.
