The Vermont Department of Transportation received bids for transportation-related improvement projects. Following is a list of some of the projects let. County: Orleans Town: Barton Project Name: BARTON STP 2702(1). Contract ID: 07C192 Location: Beginning at a point in the village of Barton, on U.S. route 5 at Sta. 257+13.60 (MM 4.870) and extending northerly along U.S. Route 5 for a distance of 5,876.64 ft. (1.113 mi.) to Sta. 315+90.24 (MM 5.983). also beginning at a point in the village of Barton, on Vt. Route 16 at Sta. 92+18.88 (MM 1.746) and extending northerly along Vt. Route 16 for a distance of 3,226.08 ft. (0.611 mi.) to Sta. 124+44.96 (MM 2.357). Also beginning at a point in the village of Orleans, on Vt. Route 58 At Sta. 8+07.84 (MM 0.153) and extending easterly along Vt. Route 58 for a distance of 3,168.00 ft. (0.600 mi.) to Sta. 39+75.84 (MM 0.753).
