F E D E R A L A N D S TAT E F U N D E D A I D FEDERAL PELL GRANTS – Federal Grants that are based on family need as determined by the government after review of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application is available online at www. fafsa.gov. The Concordia College Federal School Code is 002709. There is no charge to file the FAFSA.

FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANTS (SEOG) – Administered by the college, grants are awarded based on federal funding and the student’s demonstrated need as calculated by the filing of the FAFSA.

TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TAP) – This program is for New York State residents attending

a college in New York State. Eligibility is based on net taxable income below $80,000 upon submission of a completed TAP application. Applications are provided by the New York Higher Education Services Corporation and based upon the filing of the FAFSA. More information can be found online at www.hesc.ny.gov

FEDERAL COLLEGE WORK STUDY PROGRAM – Concordia College-New York participates in this Federal Government program. Students must file a FAFSA to determine eligibility.

FEDERAL DIRECT LOAN PROGRAM – The Direct Loan program offers low-interest loans to help defray the cost of education. Based on financial need, eligibility is limited to matriculated students who are enrolled for six or more credits per semester. FEDERAL DIRECT PARENT LOAN FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS (PLUS LOAN) – PLUS Loans are for parent borrowers and provide additional funds for educational expenses. Parents begin repayment of the loan no later than 60 days after the loan is fully disbursed, however, deferment may be requested.
