BMW 3-SERIES DONOR FINALLY COMES OF AGE Automotive Creation – this new company has taken on the production rights to the magnificent Royale Sabre, but the company hasn’t simply relaunched it, but instead converted the car to BMW 3-series components. For us, this could be the making of it, with a silky smooth 6-cylinder engine
under the bonnet and BMW derived suspension at each corner. What was already a high quality offering looks set to have improved still further.

RTR MEVABUSA Look to the RTR stand for the new Mevabusa. As you might expect, this is another exoskeletal car from RTR, but it is a brand new offering, featuring four wheels, minimal bodywork, a mid-mounted Suzuki Hayabusa engine and an all up weight of under 400kg! Designed for both road and track day use, it sounds pretty radical!

STONELEIGH NEWS NEW CAR LAUNCHES MEV BUILDS AN EXOCET IN 8 MINUTES... ON THE STAND! Here’s a display you must watch. On each day of the show, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, the MEV team will strip down a Mazda MX-5 and transform it into an MEV Exocet... in 8 minutes! OK, so some preparation will have been done, but it should be a great display and each demonstration will be timed, to see if the team can better their times at each attempt. Also on the stand will be the company’s brand new MEV Superlight. It’s a conventional body/chassis kit, MX-5 based with a full body and doors, Build it for under £5000.

RAZOR REVEALED Possibly one of the show stars will be found on the Razor stand. This eagerly awaited 3wheeler features contemporary styling and expect superb detailing from a company with very established credentials.

VORTEX V2 Here’s another stand to watch out for. Vortex will be displaying a largely complete version of its radical new V2. This is a mid-engined two-seater sports car with a 280bhp
Ecoboost engine, so expect supercar performance. Radical aero package not just for show... it works.

CKC STAND HONDA POWERED WESTFIELD If it seems that Westfield has been concentrating on its type approved Sport Turbo recently, think again. The company will have a new kit package at Stoneleigh based around the spectacular Honda S2000 engine and transmission. Elsewhere in Hall 2 you’ll find the Westfield Sports Car Club with a great display, showing how various suspension and engine upgrades can be performed. Meanwhile, outside in the club area you’ll find the Westfield Slalom display. If you’ve never seen this, don’t miss it... and you can even book yourself a ride!

On the indoor stand, in conjunction with Plays Kool Motorsport, sponsors of the WSCC, we will fit a number of components to an early typical Westfield, talking through and showing the various tips/hints and expert advice that the club offers. Sunday will see us fit a full safety cage and a front anti-roll bar kit. We will also turn our attention to some common bodywork upgrades, fitting a set of plastic lightweight cycle wings to the front wheels and rear arch protectors to the rear. Monday will see us refit the cage and the anti-roll bar kits again and then continue with the bodywork activities as we replace the full dashboard with a new lightweight plastic one, replace all the inertia belts with new harness belts and if we get time fit a pair of lightweight Tillett seats. On both days we expect to start at about

Northampton Motorsport, industry experts in the areas of car preparation and engine tuning, will also be on the stand to answer any of your fuel injection, engine mapping and car suspension set up questions. Tillett, makers of lightweight car seats, will also be present to demonstrate their range of seats for the kit car enthusiast. We will also display a range of pure race cars, with their owners, to help you get into the world of sprinting and hillclimbing. As an entry into the competitive world of motorsport, but without the contact that circuit racing brings, sprinting is an excellent way to learn about car set up, tuning and control. Lastly, we will display a range of Westfield road cars with their enthusiastic owners, so as to help answer prospective new owners’ ageold question “What is best for me, factorybuilt, self-built or pre-owned?” Outdoors we will host the biggest selection of Westfields ever seen (if it is sunny), with Complete Kit Car magazine judging a “Best Westfield of the show” competition daily at 12 noon.
