This is the other side of the UK motor industry and Stoneleigh is the kit car scene’s showcase event. Here you’ll find nearly every serious kit car manufacturer and we’re expecting lots of new launches. Among them, make sure you have a look out for MEV, Vortex, MK, Typhoon and MR2Kits. All have exciting new models seen for the first time at Stoneleigh. Elsewhere you’ll find Nearly every serious kit car sparkling new demonstrators and great displays from manufacturer has a display most of the industry’s top names. at Stoneleigh. Also inside Stoneleigh’s extensive exhibition hall complex you’ll find hundreds of accessory stands, selling everything the car builder could want. Whether it’s a nut and bolt or a complete performance engine, you’re bound to be able to find it here. But if you don’t fancy building your own from scratch, then take a walk into the Cars For Sale hall (at the bottom of 6th Street, near Gate 5) where you’ll find a diverse Clubs form a vital part of the array of cars up for sale, with prices to suit every pocket. Stoneleigh experience. Could this be your introduction to kit car ownership? Head outside and you’ll find the vast Stoneleigh complex dominated by privately owned kit cars displayed on almost 100 different club stands. It’s this extraordinary spectacle that gives Stoneleigh its special atmosphere. If there was a kit made, then there will almost certainly be a club to support it and, if you’re looking for a kit car (new or old), the chances are you’ll find it here. With over 4000 cars expected, it’s going to be a bumper display. Outside you’ll also find lots more accessory stands (just outside the main halls) and Westfield Sports Cars will be putting on an amazing slalom experience in a dedicated area just off Avenue M. For just £10, you can even book yourself a place in the passenger seat, as the company’s hugely experienced test drivers put the cars through their paces. For rather muddier action, Dakar will be in full swing on the 4-wheel-drive circuit. Once again, there are rides on offer here and with four seats, the whole family can enjoy a great experience. Finally, for those of you who make Stoneleigh a
weekend experience, the bars and restaurant will be open on both evenings. On Sunday evening we’re also combining forces with our magazine sponsor, Complete Kit Car, with a live band to entertain you in the Warwick Hall, off 6th Street - just follow the noise! MEET TIFF & VICKI Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson are attending Stoneleigh in 2010. Make sure you come and meet them. THE NATIONAL KIT Car Motorshow will welcome two of the stars from Channel 5’s Fifth Gear to the show in 2010. Tiff Needell
and Vicki Butler-Henderson will both be attending Stoneleigh – Vicki will be there on Sunday 2nd May and Tiff will be coming
along on Monday 3rd May. Both are very obvious petrolheads and have driven kit cars in the past, so we’re really looking forward to seeing them at Stoneleigh and showing them around the main exhibition halls and then out into the club areas. In the meantime, Stoneleigh sponsor Complete Kit Car magazine has fired off some questions to Tiff and Vicki. Here are their answers.

TIFF NEEDELL 1. You've won the lottery and can buy just one dream car. What would it be? McLaren F1 Supercar – never to be bettered.

2. You can put your favourite engine into your favourite car. Name the car and the engine? Errrrr ... that would be the 627 horsepower 6.1 litre BMW V12 in the ... McLaren F1!
2. You can put your favourite engine into your favourite car. Name the car and the engine? A V8 engine wrapped in a Porsche 911 - mmmmmmm.
3. What's the driving achievement you're most proud of? Sitting on the grid of the 1980 Belgian Grand Prix in the Ensign-DFV MN180.
3. What's the driving achievement you're most proud of? Being the first woman ever to win a one-make Maserati race in the history of the marque, in 2004 on the Silverstone GP circuit.
4. Conversely, what's your most embarrassing on-screen gaff? Falling off a Honda CBR600RR at Donington.

5. Who will be the 2010 Formula 1 Champion at the end of the season? Sebastian Vettel.

6. What's the maddest kit car you've ever driven? I won a kit car race at Castle Combe in a Mallock RML GT40 that was filmed for Top Gear. 7. What's your favourite circuit in the UK? The high speed sweeps of Thruxton. 8. Has there been a kit car, either past or present, that you've considered owning? Before I won a Formula Ford Lotus 69F I was dreaming of building a U2 Clubmans Car. Now one of my neighbours has a Factory Five Cobra which is mightily impressive! 9. What's the next TV project that we can expect to see you in? More Fifth Gear with 20 new shows now confirmed for both this year and next. 10. Where would your ultimate road trip take you? Home! I had a yellow digger Tonka toy as a child, complete with caterpillar tyres, and I would love to build a grown-up version of it! 9. What's the next TV project that we can expect to see you in?
