Communicating Community Integrated Care

Welcome to the new-look Community Integrated Care!

Something looks a little different here, right? Hopefully, you’ll notice that we have a bold new visual style for our charity! One that reflects our previous look, but also moves us in a more dynamic direction, as we strive to become ‘The UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity’.

Communicating Community Integrated Care

Why have we done this? Well, first things first, our organisation has changed a lot recently! During our Big Change programme, we moved away from our previous structure, where we had divisions called ‘Independent Living’ and ‘Senior Care’. Instead, we now focus on working locally, by structuring our charity into six regional business units.

SCOTLAND

NORTH EAST

NORTH WEST LIVERPOOL, SEFTON, CUMBRIA & LANCASHIRE

CENTRAL

NORTH WEST CHESHIRE, WIGAN & SOUTH MERSEYSIDE

This change required us to adapt the way we that we promote ourselves and explain who we are and what we do. SOUTH

But as importantly as this, ‘CIC Group’ felt a bit anonymous, didn’t it? It didn’t give people a true sense of our organisation and what we are all about. ‘Community Integrated Care’ says so much more. In fact, in a way, those three words say it all: UÊÊ7iÊÜ À Ê ÊÌ i Community Supporting people to overcome their challenges and live full and happy lives. UÊÊ7iÊ`i ÛiÀÊIntegrated services We try to break down barriers by bringing people and professionals together, to provide joined-up support. UÊÊ7i Care Community Integrated Care is privileged to employ 5000 people who don’t just work in the care sector, but are really caring people.

This rebrand is about changing with the new direction for our charity and also cerebrating what makes us unique. So, CIC Group, Independent Living and Senior Care are no more! We are a special charity, whose name says it all: Community Integrated Care…

Communicating Community Integrated Care

More than a name A good brand isn’t just a name or a nice logo. Good branding means letting your customers know about what sets your organisation apart. Business people sometimes call this a ‘unique selling point’.

At the very beginning of our rebrand process, we sought the opinions of many people in our organisation - from our Trustees to our front-line staff and the people we support. We asked for their experiences of being part of our charity and what they believe are our greatest strengths.

People Passion Potential

They gave us lots of interesting feedback and some common themes emerged, we distilled these into three words:

These words are at the core of our new branding.

Our new style showcases three key statements that express the very best of our charity: UÊʼ7i½ÀiÊ*À Õ`Ê vÊ"ÕÀÊPeople’ - Community Integrated Care is incredibly fortunate to employ and support thousands of amazing people. Rightly, we are incredibly proud of our dedicated employees and the exceptional achievements of the people we support. UÊʼ7iÊ >ÀiÊ7 Ì ÊPassion’ - Our staff are incredible people, who so often give ‘that bit extra’. We know that you care passionately about the people you support, their loved ones and your service. This deserves celebrating. UÊʼ7iÊ i iÛiÊ ÊPotential’ - Our colleagues want the absolute best for the people they support. You don’t settle for second best or see barriers and labels. You see the potential in every person we support and work hard to realise it.

Communicating Community Integrated Care

More than words We’ve made a big promise with these three words - ‘People, Passion, Potential’. They raise the expectations of all of our customers, from the people we support to our professional partners, that we will provide them with an exceptional service. Our Big Change programme and ambition to become The UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity sees us strive to achieve real excellence. You, your service and regional team, have a major role to play in this - and in this way, you bring our brand to life. When you and your service do something amazing, you’ll be living proof that Community Integrated Care believes in potential, cares with passion and is proud of its people.

“Who do you work for?” We’ve all been asked the question “What do you do?” or “Who do you work for?”. It can be tempting to say something like: “Oh, I work in a care home down the road” or “I work in an office for a charity”.

Whilst both of those statements might be true, we are all part of something bigger and much more special - Community Integrated Care. It’s just hard to see this sometimes, when we are so focussed on our own particular service or job role.

What do we look like as an organisation? We are one of the biggest UK charities. We support more than 2500 people and employ an amazing 5000 staff! We work across the social care sector. Community Integrated Care supports people with learning disabilities, mental health concerns, autism and age-related needs, like dementia. Few care providers have our special mix of talents and experience. We have an incredible history. Community Integrated Care helped people to leave institutional hospitals, by pioneering ‘Care in the Community’. Over the past 25 years, we’ve broken many barriers and changed countless lives.

We have a bright future too. We’re going places, with a breath-taking ambition to become the UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity. We are successful at what we do. At our best, we do amazing work and we are recognised for this too; this year we won or were shortlisted for more than 30 top care awards! We are a growing force. Over the next five years, we’ll be growing 30% - meaning that we’ll be helping many more people to fulfil their potential. So, be proud of yourself, your service, your colleagues, your team and the people you support. But also be proud to be part of our bigger team Community Integrated Care.

The Next Steps As you can imagine, it’s a very big task changing the brand of an organisation - especially one as big as ours! Over the months ahead, we’ll be starting to phase out our old style and move to the new one. However, you’ll already begin to notice some changes, including: UÊ Ê9 ÕÀÊ V> ÊÀi} > Ê vwViÊ >ÃÊ>Ê iÜÊ suite of promotional literature.
