Private Education
Private schools in the area provide parents with additional choices to more specifically meet their child’s needs. These schools vary in terms of philosophy of education, size, structure and cost and each offers a unique approach to education.
Adult Education
Mission Northeast (The Mission), a local community non-profit agency offers adult GED classes as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to area citizens. In partnership with LSCKingwood they also offer other adult training programs such as welding and other skills. Pam Dickson, Executive Director 281-354-1200
Lone Star College – Kingwood in partnership with both New Caney and Splendora ISD’s offer continuing education for adults in the area. See the college’s website, www.lonestar.edu for additional information.
Library
The R.B. Tullis Library, a branch of the Montgomery County Library System, is located adjacent to the EMCID building on Hwy 59 in New Caney. Opened in 2007 this 30,000 square foot facility is a state of the art library. Year round programs including summer reading programs are available to area citizens.
