REFLECTION: Last week our church studied the impor tance of putting on the clothes of Chr ist More accurately how to have the mind and hear t of Chr ist When we think like Jesus the wor ld takes on a new look We begin to see ourselves as a par t of something so much bigger than our small wor ld We begin to see life through the lens of the Holy Spir it Romans 14 continues to enlighten us on how the Body of Chr ist is to live in har mony and unity
First note not ever yone is on the same level of faith Among the children of God, some are weaker in faith than others Therefore, we should be careful not to quarrel and argue over basic doctr ines of faith For us to keep unity we sometimes need tender ness and kindness so as not to become alienated in our faith The ear ly Church was made up of mostly Jews and, after Pentecost, Gentiles Until then, these 2 groups of people did not associate One reason was the Jews had long standing customs to the r ites of the Mosaic law The Gentiles had previously ascr ibed to many ancient pagan r ituals Both are now united to Chr ist This was a perfect arena for differences of opinion which caused quarrels and contention The way to live together without any discord is by spending time shar ing their love of Chr ist and shar ing their lives together God makes us stronger by uniting us and teaching us to tr ust Chr ist’s wisdom God’s grace must always be plentiful to go around To give it to others we must first have received grace abundantly from our Lord

Mary Louise Babbitt, 74 of Allegan, MI, passed away on September 8, 2023, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo Born September 6, 1949, in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth F Russell Mary was loved by her family as well as by her dear friends at Harmony Brook She will be missed by many Mary is preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth F Russell, her sister Lorna Russell as well as eight other siblings Mary is survived by her two children, Jeff (Heather) Russell and Jodi (Jason) Donkin as well as her three grandchildren Taylor Donkin, Lauren (Blake) Swift and David Donkin According to her wishes cremation has taken place Contributions in memory of Mary may be made to Centrica
