He was born February 16 1963 in Kalamazoo to John and Donna (Vandelaare) Larrabee Right out of high school Jeff began working in construction He worked on multiple nuclear power plants around the country as a union carpenter and for Exon and FEMA doing clean up after hurricanes in Florida He went on to own and operate Jeff Larrabee Construction He spent most of his life building Jeff built homes, commercial building, restaurants, churches and barns Being able to see the final product and direct all the steps to get it there was one of his finest qualities In his free time Jeff enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii, fishing, working on his farm and taking care of his animals Surviving are his daughters, Brittani and Lindsi; father, John; siblings, Joe (Gwen) Larrabee and Jesse (Shelly) Larrabee; nieces and nephews, Danyalle, Gabriel, Kaylee, Matthew and Michael and his partner, LeeAnn Spangenberg He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Sandra Montie A celebration of life will take place at a later time Contributions in memory of Jeff may be made to the Allegan County Animal Shelter

Connor passed away, unexpectedly, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at his home in Otsego He was born November 14, 2000 in Kalamazoo, the son of Thomas and Jessica (Dingman) Blanchard
Connor worked in construction doing drywall He loved music especially the Red Hot Chili Peppers and enjoyed playing the bass Connor had a heart of gold and was a hopeless romantic He loved animals and had rescued 3 cats, Stella, Jimmy and Cocoa Connor liked playing video games with his brother and dad He was a kind, considerate, loving soul with a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh Surviving are his parents, Tom Blanchard and Jessica Blanchard; siblings, Emma (J J ) Coak and Anthony Blanchard; grandparents, Terry and Terri Dingman of Vicksburg, David and Barb Blanchard of Martin and Greg and Susan Temple of Allegan along with many aunts, uncles and cousins Contributions in memory of Connor may be made to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

AGE 85 - OTSEGO, MI
Another one of the "good guys" has left us Paul jumped on that LONG BLACK TRAIN to go have breakfast with his beloved Mom (Marion McGuire Dellapella); his son, Steven; his favorite motherin-law (Virginia Rock); along with his Aunt Paulla and Uncle Chuck (McGuire) Paul, age 85, died peacefully in his sleep during the early hours of August 8, 2023, at Meadow Woods Nursing Home in Bloomingdale Paul, originally from Paw Paw, resided in Otsego with Glenna, his wife of nearly 53 years He graduated in the Class of '57 (a star runner) while working in his family restaurant, Hamburg Haven He enjoyed meeting up with a group of friends for a monthly rehash of world events He married Alice (Coleman) Krepel and they had 3 children, Michael, Steven and Nancy He later inherited 2 more boys, Erick and Chris Jensen He was a great Dad Paul was an employee of Upjohn's; retiring in 1993 and leaving behind good friend Roger Northrup and brother and best man, Jim Brodhagen Sonny, as some old people called him, was an artist He even won a ribbon at the Allegan Fair thanks to Nancy Schmidt He loved to make chopping blocks, cutting boards, jewelry boxes, potato bins and holiday items He enjoyed traveling - especially to Maine He professed to be a hunter but the first deer he got was with his truck He fished and played golf However, his most prized possessions were his 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren even if he didn't see them as often as he liked He loved the title of Grampa Paul Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place No service is being planned at this time We thank Meadow Woods Nursing Home and Centrica Hospice for all they did He was especially fond of Journey Church So smile when you remember your friend, Dad, or Grampa today He's flying with the Eagles now xxoo

John A G r a h a m , “ C h i c o ” , o f Otsego, Michigan, passed away on August 1, 2023, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan
He was 82 years old John was born July 14, 1941, in Allegan, Michigan, to Vera (Hodge) Graham, and Robert Graham He graduated from Allegan High School in 1960 John attended Western Michigan University, where he studied Physics He worked for RockTenn in Otsego, until the mill closed in 2004 John was married to Katherine (Jones), and they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary John was a lifelong resident of Michigan and resided in Otsego for most of his adult life Like many Michiganders, he was an avid outdoorsman John loved hunting, fishing, golf, bowling and pool He played on many leagues over the years He enjoyed NASCAR racing, and of course, the Detroit Tigers John and his family spent many a weekend camping, mushroom hunting, canoeing and tubing down the Muskegon River He loved hanging out with his friends at his favorite watering hole, The Windjammer, enjoying an adult beverage or two John would readily help a friend in a pinch with auto or home repairs, for a 6 pack of beer He was an avid reader, and master Trivial Pursuit player John suffered a stroke in 2020 and was no longer able to participate in his golf or pool leagues He kept himself occupied by tinkering around the house and in the garage, taking things apart and putting them back together, often to the dismay of his wife, Kathy John was preceded in death by his father, Robert, his mother, Vera, and his stepdaughter, Jackie Perkins John will be missed by his wife, Kathy Graham, and children: Rene Moore (Alan) of Greenwood, Indiana, John Graham Jr of Indianapolis, Indiana, Heidi Smith (David) of Otsego, Mandy Palmer (Nathan) of Three Rivers, Sherry Ott of Charlotte, North Carolina, Tony Ott, of Otsego, and Paige Ott of Allegan
He is survived by many grandchildren: Tanner Smith, Chase Cremeans, Carson Palmer, Mason and Logan Boerman, and Isabella Klifman John is survived by his brothers Don Graham (Peggy) of Whiteland, Indiana, and Fred Graham (Carrie) of Kalamazoo The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Borgess Hospital Kalamazoo (7 North, and 4 North), and Compassus Hospice for their compassion and advocacy for John at the end of his life Following his wishes, John will be cremated The family is being cared for by Avink, McCowen, Secord Funeral Home in Schoolcraft, Michigan A celebration of John’s life will be held at a date to be determined

Ron passed away, Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his home in Allegan He was born March 28, 1935 in Plainwell the son of Fred and Florence (Bailey) Buzzell Ron proudly served his country in the U S Navy For several years he worked at Mac Sim Bar and Rockwell International until his retirement He went on to work at Parker Hannifin for several more years Ron enjoyed tinkering with ham radios and was a member of an amateur radio club He was also a member of the Allegan County Emergency Response Team, the Masons and was a Shriner Ron liked growing orchids and hunting as a young man On September 21, 1956 in Allegan he married Dolores “Audrey” Dell who survives Also surviving are his children, Kathleen (Rick) Meade of Allegan and Brett Buzzell of East Lansing; grandchildren, Olivia Meade and Felicia (Josh) Harrington; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Sophia and Paislee Harrington along with several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Darl Buzzell and Lois Coffey According to his wishes cremation has taken place Burial of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National cemetery at a later time Contributions in memory of Ron may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice

Merry passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at her home in Plainwell She was born February 1, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of J Herbert and Margaret Burling Merry moved to Kalamazoo at an early age and graduated from University High School in 1960 She married her high school sweetheart, William Wallace on September 8, 1962 in Kalamazoo For many years she worked in the medical field retiring from Healthcare Midwest After retirement she spent her time caring for her family, repairing books for Plainwell Schools, playing cards with two card groups and playing many hours of Scrabble and Trivia games with her daughter and granddaughter She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William E Wallace; her children, Deborah (Matthew) Hunt and Gary Wallace; her grandchildren, Travis (Krista Lapham) Wallace, Shelby Wallace, Megan Hunt and Andrew (Cammie) Hunt; her great-grandchildren, Thatcher and Saylah Wallace and Gianna and Lorena Gonzalez as well as several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Kuehl; brother, Daniel Burling and daughter-in-law, Anne Wallace According to her wishes cremation has taken place Friend may visit with Merry’s family from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Winkel Funeral Home, in Otsego Contributions in memory of Merry may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or the American Cancer Society

Rolo is looking for adopters that are just as fun and happy go lucky as he is The shelter staff loves this guy and so do his doggie buddies Rolo's play style can be a bit more rough and tumble than some dogs like - but he has made several fr iends and he tr uly has a blast playing with other dogs! Although Rolo looks forward to his play time with his shelter buddies, he would really love a yard of his own to be silly and playful He is a smar t dog and ver y treat motivated - a great combo!
An adopter who wants to teach their dog tr icks would have a great time with Rolo He already knows basic commands and how to play fetch Rolo could join a home that already includes dogs and/or older children
Kids 10 years and older would be his best fit, but he could cer tainly join a home with younger dog-savvy
kids He would definitely love a doggie playmate, so if there already is a dog in the home a meet and greet will be scheduled to make sure their play styles match!
