Comic Con India Came Into Existence Driven By The Love For Comics. Starting In 2011, With An Annual Convention In Delhi & An Express Version In Mumbai, The Celebration Of Comics Has Now Spread To 4 Annual Events In 4 Major Cities Of The Country, With Plans To Expand In Other Cities In Future. Though Relatively Young, Comic Con India Has Found The Support And Encouragement From Established Artists, Writers & Publishers From Around The World. Famous Authors & Artists Robert Crumb & Aline Kominsky Were The Special Guests Of Honor At The Event In 2012. Author Aamir Soltani (Zahra's Paradise) Attended The Event In 2013. The Final Day Of Our Event Features An Exclusive Session With The Special Guest, Featuring A Retrospective Of Their Work & Interaction With Writers, Artists & Fans. Special Guests 2011 to 2013 ROBERT CRUMB Comics Artist and Author Robert Dennis Crumb Is One Of The Most Influential Artists Of The Last Century. He Is An American Artist, Illustrator, And Musician Recognized For The Distinctive Style Of His Drawings And His Critical, Satirical, Subversive View Of The American Mainstream. One Of His Most Recognized Works Is The "Keep On Truckin'" Comic, Which Became A Widely Distributed Fixture Of Pop Culture In The 1970s. He Was Inducted Into The Comic Book Industry's Will Eisner Comic Book Hall Of Fame In 1991.
GARY GROTH Publisher & Comics Critic, Fantagraphics & The Comics Journal Gary Gilbert Groth Is An American Comic Book Editor, Publisher And Critic. He Is Editor-in-Chief Of The Comics Journal And Co-founder Of Fantagraphics Books. A Long-time Comic Book Reader And Former Fanzine Publisher, Groth Wanted To Create A Magazine That Addressed Comics From A Serious Critical And Artistic Point Of View, And To Apply Real-world Journalistic Practice To The Comic Book Industry.

AMIR SOLTANI Author, Zahra’s Paradise Amir Soltani Is The Author Of Zahra's Paradise, A Graphic Novel Translated In Sixteen Languages - Before It Was Even Published - About The Aftermath Of A Rigged Presidential Election In Iran In June 2009. Amir Is A Journalist, Activist And Documentary Film Maker Based In California. His Career As A Journalist And Activist Has Been Largely Focused On Human Rights In Iran. He Has Lived And Worked In The United States, Canada, Europe, And Afghanistan. His Essays And Articles Have Appeared Far And Wide In The Press.
ALINE KOMINSKY-CRUMB Comic Artist And Author Aline Kominsky-Crumb Is An American Underground Comics Artist, And Wife Of Cartoonist R. Crumb. Since The Late 1970s, She And Robert Have Produced A Series Of Collaborative Comics Called Dirty Laundry (Also Known As Aline & Bob's Dirty Laundry), A Comic About The Crumb Family Life.
