Free Skin Cancer Screenings during the month of May. Skin cancer will affect 1 in 5 Americans in their lifetime and one person dies of melanoma — the deadliest form of skin cancer — every hour. Yet, melanoma can have a 98% cure rate when detected early. That is why the American Academy of Dermatology recognizes May as Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention month. As part of this initiative OSCI will provide free skin screenings during the month of May. The Ohio Skin Cancer Institute was founded by Larisa Ravitskiy, MD, to provide you with the highest level of individualized skin cancer care.
