The Tradition Meets Tomorrow Campaign has raised $10.4 million of its $10 million goal to date. The Campaign identifies five areas of support: the sciences, arts and humanities, business, adult higher education and athletics. These leadership gifts and grants from individuals, businesses and foundations renew and strengthen education for students today and for generations of students to come.

December 2008 $150,000 from Kay Sells ’38 and O.V. Sells to the Brouder Science Center

April 2009 $500,000 lead gift to the science center from Mary Agnes Starr McQuinn ’54 and Al McQuinn was made in 2005 and announced years later

January 2010 $250,000 gift for the science center from Web Bixby ’82, Columbia College trustee and Tradition Meets Tomorrow National Campaign steering committee chair, and the J.B. Reynolds Foundation

May 2010 $100,000 gift from George Ousley Jr. ’78 and Gayleen Ousley to establish an endowed scholarship fund to help veterans pay for school when military assistance runs out or expires September 2010 $112,000 gift from the Columbia College Administrative Council, composed of the college’s senior leadership October 2010 $200,000 from Gene and Fran Koepke to establish the Koepke Fitness Center; Fran Koepke’s father was Trustee Emeritus J.W. “Stan” Stafford

April 2010 $100,000 gift to the science center and the Boone County Endowed Scholarship from Boone County National Bank

January 2011 $100,000 gift to the science center from Gary Drewing Sr., Columbia College trustee; son is Gary Drewing Jr. ’99
