Care is crucial at Plum Creek by Rhonda Moore The doctor is always in at Plum Creek Medical Center. Dr. Jack England opened his practice in 1991 and has since become the doctor of choice for nearly 30,000 people who have visited his medical center, which offers more than just urgent care. Plum Creek Medical Center offers family health, pediatric care and internal medicine, with pediatric IVs, X-rays and blood work all done in-house. It is enough to draw patients like Parker resident Anne Berk, who on one recent visit greeted her favorite doctor with a box of chocolates.
“He’s the best,” Berk said. “He doesn’t just treat you with medicine, he listened to me and let me take control of my own health.” Berk discovered Plum Creek Medical Center when her daughter interned at the clinic. On one recent day she was among the patients that kept three people at the front desk on the phone, with a steady stream of patients in the waiting room. The waiting room is where England displays a communityminded wall of fame, displaying News-Press Best of the Best awards dating back to 2007. England is supported by a staff
that includes his son, attorney John England, who netted an overwhelming number of votes when he was selected best attorney in Castle Rock. With the exception of a few pro bono clients, John England’s sole client is his father’s medical practice. “He keeps me out of trouble,” Jack England said with a smile. “I guess they just like us.”
