Personalized Lunch Box with Painters Paint Markers Last week my 5 year old Cara got to attend kindergarten for half a day with her preschool class to have a little sneak peak. She is super excited about starting school this coming fall. So it got me to thinking about what kind of lunch box she would want to take with her when she starts school. When I was in school my mom made me a lunch box using a metal bucket. She painted a puppy on the front and she even painted my name on the lid. I LOVED that lunch kit (and I still have it!), So I decided to make Cara one too. I think she’ll love it! So we headed to Walmart this past week to buy some supplies to make a lunch box!
I was so excited to see the NEW Painters Paint Markers available in singles! Yay!

DIY Painted Vase I recently had the opportunity to try out a fun product called Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers, and I am so excited to share my experience with you. I purchased them from Walmart, and they are very reasonably priced and come in a variety of colors. The great thing is, you can use them on virtually any surface! They are so versatile, and the creative possibilities are endless. The best part is that they are extremely easy to work with.

Butterfly Picture Frames I am so excited about this picture frame! I think it turned out super cute!!! I thought of making this frame because we have a small wall by our front door that was looking very plain. I thought that a new picture frame would really make the space pop! Plus I always look for ways to display all the pretty portraits I have of my girls! I wanted to make sure that it matched the rest of my living room decor, so I knew that I would be painting the frame. That is where the Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers came in very handy! Creating this frame took no time at all and was so easy!!! My oldest daughter was able to help me paint with the paint markers too!

A Frugal Project with a Twist! Come meet our bus! Guess what we did this weekend? We built a bus! Yes‌built it. My Hubby got a HUGE cardboard box from work a few weeks ago, and it was the perfect thing for an idea I had to make a fun, frugal DIY toy for the kids. I shopped for supplies at Walmart. The whole thing only cost about $38.00! I’d say that the bus is totally worth that price, and will be loved by my kids much more than a toy from the store that would cost twice that much!

Cute Cupcake Liner Storage While cleaning out my pantry again last week, I decided I needed something to keep my super cute cupcake wrappers in. While reorganizing I emptied out some glass canisters that would be PERFECT to keep my liners in. But I didn’t want just plain jars because that’s no fun. So off to Walmart I went. I came across these Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers and knew EXACTLY what I was going to do. I love that I can get individual markers. I also love that they are only $1.97! These markers are superb and I have used them before on a few other projects so I knew they would be great for what I had in mind.

Embroidery Hoop Art With Eleanor’s room update and the little pumpkin turning one on Saturday (AHH! How did that happen so fast?), I thought I would whip up something special for her room. I have been totally crushing on embroidery hoop art. I have seen lots of people put fabric they adore inside, but I wanted something a little more special for Eleanor. (You know? Turning one and all.)

Painted Rock Garden Markers We’ve been work ing on our spring/summer gar den lately and just fin ished up a project I’ve been want ing to do for a while! After see ing a whole vari ety of dif fer ent kinds and styles via Pin terest, I knew I wanted to make some cute plant mark ers for the garden. One thing we have a lot of is rocks – so painted rock gar den mark ers it is! Aren’t they cute?! This project was so easy to do with help from one of my favorite crafty prod ucts – Elmer’s Painters Mark ers. I love them and already had a cou ple of packs. But I needed a few addi tional col ors to help with my fruit & veg etable paint ings! So I was thrilled to see that they are now offer ing sin gle Painters for only $1.97 a piece.

Mother’s Day Herringbone Flower Pots with Painters Paint Markers With less than 1 week till Mother’s Day, it’s crunch time for figuring out those Mother’s Day gifts.

Both my mom and my

mother-in-law love flowers so that is what we usually get them for Mother’s Day.

Some years we pick out the flowers and

other years we give them gift cards so they can pick out their own.

This year I decided to decorate pots with Painters Paint

Markers and then plant some flowers in the pots as part of their gifts.

Painted Garden Markers I talked about my garden a little while ago, and I thought I’d share yet another update I have recently made. Now that everything is planted, fertilized and thriving, I realized I needed some garden markers to know what was what. I decided it would be the perfect project for the brand new Painters Paint Markers by Elmer’s.

I have been wanting to try out these paint markers for a few weeks now, ever since I saw them at Walmart. And I am so excited to show them to you guys today. The paint markers come in many different colors and tip sizes so that you can create a unique look to anything you’re wanting to paint. You can buy them in a pack, or you can buy individual ones for only $1.97 (what a deal). The markers are filled with acrylic paint, and you can use them on wood, plastic, clay, glass, metal, foam board, fabric, and terra cotta. And according to the box, the paint markers are permanent, streak free, non-toxic and acid free. All great things, right?

Trick Out Your Sneakers A few weekends ago, the family and I were in San Francisco and came across a few stores selling canvas shoes with custom artwork. It was my youngest daughter who remarked, “Hey, we could do that!” So when I had the opportunity to write a craft tutorial for Elmer’s using their Painters Opaque Paint Markers, I knew right away what I’d be making. I already use Painters on glass, plastic, fabric, paper and wood. So, why not canvas shoes? What I love most about Elmer’s Painters is that I have much more control than I would with a paintbrush. They’re so easy to use, especially for those of us born without the Rembrandt gene.
