Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; S C between legs, ЄMIC[A] in exergue. Baldus pl I, 8; Prieur 1033 (citing 2). VF, toned, porous surfaces. Rare. ($1500) 658. SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Emesa. Uranius Antoninus. Usurper, AD 253-254. BI Tetradrachm (26mm, 11.38 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; S C in exergue. Baldus, Nachtrag Ξ/ξ = Prieur 1058 var. or corr. Near VF, earthen deposits, peripheral roughness on reverse. Perhaps the second known. ($1000) The reverse legend on the current coin appears to end [...]YΠAT B, whereas Prieur notes the specimen published by Baldus ends [...]YΠATO B. It is not entirely clear from the photograph in Baldus.

Unpublished in the standard references, but see Prieur 1060 for similar with eagle’s head and tail to right. VF, earthen deposits. ($2000)

Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tyche seated left on rocks, holding rudder and cornucopia; at feet, half–length figure of harbor–god swimming right, holding Pharos of Laodicea. M.
