603. Herakleia. Circa 350 BC. AR Nomos (7.84 gm). Head of Athena facing three-quarters right, wearing Attic helmet / I -ΗΡΑΚΛΗΙ[ΩΝ], Herakles standing facing, upper torso turned right, wrestling with the Nemean lion; club and bow intertwined to left. Work, ANSNNM 91,22 (same dies). Toned, good VF, graffito in center of reverse field, flatly struck on reverse. Rare type.
608. Herakleia. Circa 280-272 BC. AR Nomos (6.09 gm). I-ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΩΝ, head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet decorated with a griffin; I -H behind / Herakles standing half-left, holding club and lion's skin with left arm and oenochoe in right hand over altar; thunderbolt to right. 610. Laus. Circa 470-460 BC. AR Nomos (7.97 gm). 2ΑΛ, man-headed bull standing left, head reverted; acorn in exergue / 2ΑΛ, man-headed bull standing right. SNG Lockett 363 (this coin); Kraay-Hirmer 216 (same dies). Toned VF, old scrape on bull's belly on obverse. Rare. ($500)
