This issue commemorates the repulsion of the Goths from Thessalonica in 269 AD. The inhabitants believed they were saved by the intervention of their local gods, the Cabin, who were the sons of Vulcan.

This type is entirely an invention of the die cutter and is important not only for its subject matter, but because it is not modeled after existing types, which is usually the case with barbarous radiates. An important piece for this esotericfield.
