than $1,000,000 of grant funded training to 21 DCMA member companies and trained more than 750 employees. u The DCMA has conducted various plant tours for Garland ISD teachers, counselors and students. u Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas honored the DCMA and its member companies as Outstanding Employers of the Year in 2007. u DCMA partners have awarded more than $1.4 million in training grants to support 1,254 trainees. *DCMA awarded a more than $360,000 Skill Development Fund Grant in August, 2011: 400 employees were trained.
Garland ISD Manufacturing Plant Tours In collaboration with the Garland ISD Career and Technical Education Department plant tours have been conducted to their teachers, counselors and students in an effort to better communicate what manufacturing is like.
