The Instrument forces are organised into three groups
Symphony Orchestra 6 Amplified soloists with electronics: Mixed Ensemble Small ensemble of 7 within the Orchestra: Ensemble 1 The piece is in six movements.
Equipment
4 speakers 1 mixer with a minimum of six inputs and 4 speaker outputs 6 condenser microphones (such as a Shure SM58) Max/MSP patch available from the composer Computer/laptop running Max/MSP 4.5.4 Cabling and lines for all above equipment General Instructions
The electronic part should act as a member if the ensemble and be balanced accordingly with the rest of the ensemble. The co-ordination between the electronics part is a guide and need not be exact except for when there is the direction, ‘TURN OFF ALL CHANNELS’. The electronics part should support the mixed Ensemble. Ideally the sound projectionist should aim to mix the ‘Mixed ensemble’ to the same volume level of the orchestra were possible.

Alexander Rudd FURORE
Conflict, resolution, organisation and chaos are ideas that have long been expressed in musical terms and are fundamental to all musical forms in one or another. They are central to the structure of this work. Alexander Rudd graduated from Trinity College of Music achieving a first class honours degree and was awarded the highest accolade for outstanding work in composition, The Silver Medal. He has won various awards for composition including, Winner of the 1997 National Young Composer of the Year Award. He was a selected Composer involved with Greenwich Theatre’s, ‘Ten Minute Musical Challenge’, following the success his large-scale orchestral work, Furore (Blackheath Halls, London). He represented the UK as a featured Composer in the International Artists Workshop for the European Union. His theatre scores include the musical, The Stones are Hatching (Youth Music Theatre: UK) and My Matisse ( Jermyn St Theatre) His work is performed throughout the UK and Europe.
