Summary

I have spent 12 months at Zavod Voluntariat. Some seemed really long and some were definitely too short. My main task was to coordinate Club of Volunteers, that invites volunteers with the aim of making their own initiatives for projects, campaigns and other forms of realization of their ideas for the design and implementation of new projects, awareness campaigns, promoting the program and the like. While being a coordinator, I developed the idea and organized Thursday Dinners - regular meetings for volunteers, who wanted to join Club of Volunteers. Beside that I facilitated Tips to go – media and communication workshops and I was also coordinating Massive Clothing Exchange Party. Four times in this year I was the editor-in-chief of the Newsletter of Club of Volunteers. My responsibilities included choosing the topic, collecting articles, writing, revising and preparing it for graphic designer. My personal project was Radio Voluntariat. During this year I created a web page where I was posting radio reportages. I made interviews with EVS volunteers and coverage of various events connected with Zavod Voluntariat. Besides, I was also editing videos, making photos, helping with other workshops, promoting Voluntariat and staying in touch with volunteers. It was a challenging year full of different tasks. I developed a lot of skills and got some new competences. I created this mini book to share my experience with you. I wish you a lot of new ideas, self satisfaction and good luck with your projects! interCultural evening Presentation of Italy, Macedonia and Poland

We started our voluntary services at Zavod Voluntariat by organizing the evening for Club of Volunteers. We wanted to meet other volunteers, present them our countries and talk about our plans connected with Club of Volunteers. We prepared some short, multi-medial presentations and a bit of our traditional food and drinks. In our slide show presentations we focused on specific topics, such as traditional Italian dances, Macedonian handicraft and Polish cinematography. Not only were we trying to introduce our countries in non stereotypical way, but also to share our main interests. The meeting took place in Sloga in February. Two sided leaflet in the form of a bookmark to promote media and communication workshops. There is important information on the one side and the place for notes and logo of Voluntariat on the other side. The font is imitating handwriting style to link it with the area of topics covered on workshops: communication and creative writing. First side is supposed to reflect student’s notebook. The target group of the workshop is mostly young people. Quote used on the leaflet is suggesting that workshops are directed not only to people interested in the topic of media and communication, but for everyone, who wants to learn it and use it in everyday life.
