MOMENTS AT THE MOMENT

C L A R IS S A B U DI M A N

Looking at the moments of our lives from the obsessively taking-pictures-behaviour. The unfulfilled desires to preserve the moments. The notion of moments have been distorted. We preserve moments for our future.

We disappear from the present. From the moment.

It was a beautiful, cloudy Saturday.

My third birthday.

Or maybe forth.

Daddy brought a new toy for me.

I could not remember

It was a bicycle.

what happened

It had training wheels... And it was in the blue. past.

Ocean blue, my favourite colour.

A vague vision of playing in the terrace.

Sunny day upon sunny day.

Full of laughter.

What My brother and I had fun...was it? We would ride our bicycles everywhere.

I would wear my helmet all day.

And, oh!

I always rang the bell all the way.

He went to his backyard with a shovel.

And he dug a deep hole beneath big oak tree.

He was sure that there is a treasure.

It was one morning.

An adventure in the past. He had buried something precious there.

Really precious.

A m emory of his childhood.

Now, he was looking back for it.

[

P.42

]

Looking for his treasure.

The treasure that buried to be treasured in the future.

There was a man.

He filled his house with memories, with his life.

He would retake, find other angles, and pick the only best one to be hanged.

Every wall and every corner.

He looked at his pictures everyday,

and he was happy.

[

P.44

]

you could find a piece of puzzle of his life.

And one day, his house was burned.

He was safe but everything was gone.

Not any single piece left.

Did he lose his memories?

Did he lose his life?

Put it inside. Put it inside.

Protect it safely.

Keep it securely.

He put all his moments here.

His memories will be safe. No one could ever touch it.

No one could ever steal it.

[

P.46

]

Im m ortalized the moments.

The moments will not be forgotten.

Because they are never be remembered.
