Each year CLINIC’s skilled staff train and support thousands of community-based immigration legal service providers and private attorneys through in-person trainings, e-learning courses, webinars, online tool kits, print publications, e-mail alerts, and phone consultations (for affiliates only). CLINIC is committed to providing clear, up-to-date guidance on a wide array of immigration law and capacity building topics.

WHO WE HELP

■■ Immigration Program Management CLINIC trainings are interactive, with a variety of exercises and activities to enhance the training experience. In addition, training participants receive access to numerous published training materials and manuals from CLINIC’s library.

Our trainings are open to staff of CLINIC affiliates and other non-profit agencies, diocesan staff, private attorneys, and private law office staff. With our wide variety of trainings, there is a training that is right for you, whether you are a new legal worker or an experienced practitioner. Join Us!

TRAINING PLATFORMS THAT WORK FOR YOU E-Learning – CLINIC’s e-learning courses are web-based, and can be completed from your office or home. The e-learning curriculum includes a blend of self-directed learning and interaction with instructors and course participants. Courses are either four or six weeks in duration and employ instructional tools such as reading assignments, exercises, quizzes, discussion forums, and weekly webinars. In-Person – CLINIC’s in-person training schedule is available online and includes multi-day trainings on hot topics related to immigration law practice and capacity building. A number of CLINIC in-person trainings include government speakers and/or trips to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or Department of State facilities where applications for immigration benefits are adjudicated. Rapid E-Learning – These online courses contain a combination of visual content and narration, and interactive components that facilitate and reinforce the learning process. Each rapid e-course takes about 90 minutes to complete, which may be done in one sitting or in several sessions, based on the schedule and preference of the participant. Webinars – Lasting approximately 90 minutes and covering specific topics, CLINIC’s live and recorded webinars offer training on a variety of immigration law and program management issues.
