Booster Program
Orange Brigade One of the most important and visible aspects of the Clemson women’s basketball program is the booster club known as the Orange Brigade. In the fall of 1989, the club was formed by former head coach Jim Davis and promotions director John Seketa as a means to provide and promote support for the women’s basketball program at Clemson. It was organized to help the team develop a fan base through season ticket sales that would also give positive encouragement for the players. The group has a variety of members, from faculty and staff to community leaders and senior citizens. Clemson students, as well as families and friends, are also part of the organization. The Orange Brigade meets following various home games for a reception. Season ticket and membership drives are held prior to the start of the season. Each year, the team and club hold an annual dinner, which provides an opportunity for fans and supporters to meet the new players and encourage them before the season begins. Coach Coleman has pormised a renewed commitment to the Brigade, and hopes to see new an old members alike at the meetings. There are four dates scheduled so far, and the Lady Tigers hope that fans will join the group that helps lead the Tigers back to national prominence.
