Veranstaltungsräume Venue g Die Theatertage am See finden in der Boden-

see-Schule Sankt Martin in Friedrichshafen (Süddeutschland, am Bodensee) statt. Dort haben wir nahezu ideale Raumbedingungen und können alle Veranstaltungen in einem Gebäude abhalten. The Theatertage am See take place at the Bodensee-Schule St. Martin in Friedrichshafen and other places of performance. We do have almost ideal room conditions and can hold all events in one building. The performances will take place in the Little Theatre and in an Arena Theatre with 200 seats each. The two rooms have a fully developed light and sound technology. Die Aufführungen finden im Kleinen Theater und in einem Manegentheater mit jeweils etwa 200 Zuschauerplätzen statt. Eine ausgereifte Licht- und Tontechnik ist in beiden Räumen vorhanden. Das kleine Theater hat eine Bühne mit einer lichten Höhe von 3,00 Metern und alternativ eine Spielfläche mit einer lichten Höhe von ca. 3,50 Meter in der Raummitte (nach drei Seiten offen). The Little Theatre has got a stage with an internal hight of only three metres.

Manegentheater /Arena Theatre mit den neuen Sitzttribünen (seit 2012) Das Manegentheater ist ebenerdig und nach drei Seiten offen (Raumhöhe hier: 4,50 Meter). Die Zuschauer sitzen auf Tribünen und Podesten. The Arena Theatre is at ground level and open to three sides (height: 4,5 metres). The audience will be seated on galleries and platforms.

Teilnahmebedingungen für eingeladene Theatergruppen Participation conditions for invited theatre groups g Die Theatertage am See verstehen sich als ein

Begegnungsfestival des internationalen Amateurtheaters. Wir gehen deshalb davon aus, dass die Darsteller der sich bewerbenden Theatergruppen Schauspieler „aus Leidenschaft“ sind und ihren Lebensunterhalt nicht aus einer Bühnentätigkeit heraus bestreiten. Spielleiter, Regisseure usw. können auch hauptberuflich arbeitende Theaterfachleute oder Theaterpädagogen sein. Jede Gruppe entscheidet sich mit der Bewerbung für eine der beiden Sparten:

The festival "Theatertage am See" is dedicated to the idea of being a forum of meeting people and theatre groups within the scope of International Amateur Theatre. We suppose that the actors and actresses of the participating groups play theatre as hobby or even out of „passion“, but do not earn their living through acting. However, the directors or teachers of the groups can be professionals. With their application, the group decides for one of the two given catgories of the festival:

g (International) Children- School- or Youth-Theatre g (Internationales) Kinder- Schul- und Jugendtheater Spielzeit: Mittwochabend – Freitagnachmittag (2 Übernachtungen) Die Darsteller in dieser Sparte sind mehrheitlich unter 20 Jahre alt.

g Internationales Amateurtheater Spielzeit: Freitagabend bis Sonntagnachmittag (2 Übernachtungen) Die Darsteller in dieser Sparte sind mehrheitlich älter als 20 Jahre. Generationen übergreifende Projektgruppen entscheiden, in welcher der beiden Sparten sie auftreten möchten.

Beide Sparten werden von zwei voneinander unabhängig arbeitenden Jury-Gruppen begleitet. Diese leiten auch die Nachbesprechungen der jeweiligen Stücke und entscheiden über den Theaterpreis, den es in beiden Sparten zu gewinnen gibt. Das große Anliegen des Festivals ist, über das Theaterspiel in einen interkulturellen Dialog zu treten, sich auszutauschen, fortzubilden, den eigenen Standort zu bestimmen und damit den eigenen Theateransatz weiterzuentwickeln. Deshalb wird erwartet, dass die Theatergruppen, zumindest der größere Teil der jeweiligen Ensembles, über den Zeitraum ihrer Sparte in Friedrichshafen auf dem Festival anwesend sind, sich Aufführungen ansehen, an den Nachbesprechungen teilnehmen oder Fortbildungskurse belegen.

g International Amateur Theatre Festival days in the programme: Friday evening until Sunday early afternoon. (2 nights of free accomodation offered) The majority of actors/ actresses of the group are above the age of 20.

Generations Theatre Groups can decide themselves, which section suits them better. Each category will have its own, seperate jury. It will attend the performances, lead the discussions afterwards and decide on the theatre award, the best act of each category will get. The greatest aims of the festival are...

g to create and enhance an intercultural dialogue through theatre. g offer a forum of exchange and discussion about the shown theatre performances and between the participating theatre groups. g to create a deeper awareness about theatre (contents, themes, techniques) and directing in order to give impulses for further development.

Honorarregelung g Die Gruppen spielen ohne Honorar und kommen für die Aufführungsrechte ihres bei den Theatertagen am See gespielten Stückes selbst auf. Die Tantiemen für das Musikurheberrecht (GEMA) übernimmt der Veranstalter, wenn ihm vor der Aufführung die Liste der in der Inszenierung verwendeten Titel vorliegt. g Die Gruppen tragen sich unmittelbar nach ihrer Anreise mit allen Mitgliedern in ein vorbereitetes Teilnehmerformular ein. Diese Daten sind ausschließlich für die Abrechnungen mit den Zuschussgebern der Theatertage bestimmt. g Alle Mitglieder einer im Programm befindlichen Theatergruppe erhalten kostenfrei Dauerkarten der Theatertage am See. Wichtig ist, sich für jede Aufführung, die man besuchen möchte, Einlasskarten am Infostand zu besorgen. Es besteht keine Möglichkeit, ohne Einlasskarte in ausverkaufte Aufführungen eingelassen zu werden. Unterkunfts- und Verpflegungskosten g Die Veranstalter der Theatertage erheben keinen Teilnehmerbeitrag, sondern übernehmen für die Dauer der Anwesenheit in der gewählten Sparte die Übernachtungs- und Verpflegungskosten. In der Regel sind das zwei komplette Anwesenheitstage. Lediglich die Getränke sind selbst zu bezahlen. g Möchte eine Gruppe darüber hinaus am gesamten Festival teilnehmen, übernimmt die Gruppe die Kosten für weitere Übernachtungen und Verpflegung. Der Veranstalter ist bei der Buchung kostengünstiger Quartiere behilflich. Am Festivalwochenende stehen kostengünstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in der Turnhalle zur Verfügung. Dusch- und Waschmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden. Teilnahme am Kursprogramm g Die Teilnahme im Kursprogramm ist für Mitglieder von Theatergruppen, die während des Festivals auftreten, zur ermäßigten Kursgebühr möglich. Eine kostenfreie Teilnahme ist nicht möglich. Es empfiehlt sich eine rechtzeitige Kursanmeldung.

g to work on advanced actor or director training by offering weekend workshops. Therefore we expect, that the theatre groups (or at least most of their members) are present at the festival during the entire period of their category, to watch other groups performances, to participate in the discussions in the aftermath of each performance or to take part in one of the weekend workshops. Payment arrangements Participating groups play without getting paid. They are responsible to take care of the stage rights for their perfomed theatre play. The board of the „Theatertage am See Festival“ pays the royalties for the „Society for Musical Performing and Mechanical Reproduction Rights“ (GEMA), if a list of the songs used in the performance is handed in before the actual performance. Shortly after their arrival, the group is asked to fill in all the participants names into a participation form. The collected data is only used for the accounting of the festival. All members of the participating groups get a free admission card to all performances of the festival. By showing this card at the Information Desk, single entry tickets to all performances will be handed out. If the performance is sold out, there will be no admission without an entry ticket. Costs of board and lodging The board of the festival does not take an admission fee but covers the costs for board and lodging during the groups stay in the course of its performance (usually 2 complete days of presence). Beverages are not included. If a group decides to stay longer than the 2 cost-free days, all further costs have to be covered by the group. The festival team however can assist, but not guarantee the finding and booking of (low priced) accomodation. During the festival weekend (Friday- Sunday), there is the possibility of cheap accomodation in the gym, attached to festival venue, including basic sanitary arrangement (shower, bathrooms etc.). The participation in one of our workshops (Friday evening until Sunday) with reduced price conditions is possible for members of participating groups. The payment has to be afforded personally and cannot be covered by the festival board. It is advised to book early. Find out more about our workshops on the festival website.

Reisekosten Die eingeladenen Theatergruppen kommen für ihre Anund Abreisekosten selbst auf. In besonderen Fällen gibt der Veranstalter einen Zuschuss zu den Reisekosten. Wird dies angestrebt, so ist bereits bei der Bewerbung mitzuteilen, wie hoch die Fahrtkosten insgesamt voraussichtlich sein werden und wie hoch der Eigenanteil ist, den die Gruppe leisten kann. Solche besonderen Fälle können sein:

g Die Gruppe kommt aus einem devisenschwachen Land und kann die Reise nicht selbst finanzieren.

g Die Gruppe nimmt aufgrund von AITA/IATAStatuten am Festival teil und bekommt ihre Reisekosten aus Mitteln des BDAT (Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater), der Bundesrepublik Deutschland oder der Europäischen Union zur Förderung des kulturellen Austausches erstattet.

g Die Gruppe kommt aus einem soziokulturellen Umfeld, das nur über unzureichende oder keine finanziellen Mittel und Zuschüsse aus ihrem regionalen Umfeld verfügt, um eine Festivalteilnahme finanzieren zu können.

g Die Gruppe kommt aus einem schulischen

Travel costs Invited theatre groups cover their own travel costs. Only in particular cases, the festival board may offer a partial payment. If a group intends to get such a subsidy, it should give information about approximate travel costs and the amount of money the group can possibly contribute, already at its application. Such particular cases can be:

g A group comes from a country with „low“ curreny and therefore cannot afford to cover travel costs.

g The group participates on a AITA/ IATA agreement und gets its travel costs paid by either the BDAT (Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater/ Foundation of German Amateur Theatre), the Federal Republic of Germany or the European Union, with the ambition to support cultural exchange.

g According to its sociocultural background, a group has very little or no financial support from its community, parish or region.

g The group has an educational or school background and can not afford to pay the travel costs for the whole group.
