Oh no! A new coa,ch! And a man at that. We were not accustomed to having a male coach, and Mr. Ziadain was not used to coaching a bunch of wild young women like us. As the season went on, however, we became one big family and took pride in our team. Right from the start the name of the game was spirit, effort and most of all, sportsmanship. Despite the hard work involved, we shared many good times; bus rides, Friday milkshakes and after-match dinners. The Varsity had a very successful season record of 9-5-0, and the Reserve, coached by

Mrs. Beach, ended with a 5-5-3 record. The final match brought a certain sadness to the Seniors who knew it would be the last time they would play tennis for C-J. We left, however, knowing that the future of the C-J Women's Tennis Team is bright, because of the fine players who remain to carryon the tradition of a successful and exciting team.
