Senior Center Volunteer Appreciation Party Tuesday, April 22, 11 am Special refreshments will be served and dining volunteers recognized. Be sure to call ahead to confirm the date, and remember to sign up for the meal three business days in advance.

Property Tax Assistance Offered Once in Either April or May, 1 to 3:30 pm Call for specific date.

Senior Safety & Wellness Fair Thursday, May 1, 8 am to 3 pm Held at Fire Station #3 in Blaine. Advanced registration is required. Watch for details in March newsletters or call the Senior Center for the date and more information. Expect great speakers, safety sessions, health screenings, great food, refreshments, door prizes and more. Limited to the first 80 registrants.

Defensive Driving Refresher Classes These four hour refresher classes for discounts on insurance premiums are held monthly on specified Thursdays from 9:45 am to 2:30 pm with a half hour break for lunch which is available at the Senior Center. Early registration for class and lunch are required. Refresher classes are not held in the summer months, so get your class in early if needed. Mary ann Young Senior Center

**The Volunteers of America Senior Nutrition Program provides nutritious, delicious, wellbalanced meals Monday through Friday at noon. Call the Senior Center at least three business days in advance to register for lunch.

The Mary Ann Young Senior Center is located by Aquatore Park just off Highway 65 and Cloverleaf Parkway. As a focal point for seniors, the Center’s staff and volunteers offer a dynamic variety of programs and social events throughout the year. The Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. The Senior Dining Program offers noon meals at a suggested donation of $3.50 for people age 60 and over, and a cost of $6.50 for those under age 60. Please call three days in advance to register for the noon meal. Van Service is available for residents of Blaine to transport participants to and from the Senior Center for a cost of just $1.50 round trip.
