The dream is to have a cabin somewhere deep in the woods where you can go every once in awhile when a break is needed from the city. This cabin from Swedish Design firm, PS Arkitektur, would suit our needs just perfectly. It feels really modern but you can’t really deviate from feeling grounded by all the wood inside and out. Simple, minimalist clean design.

bookhou was cofounded by John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj in 2002 to showcase their individual and collaborative work. They are a multidisciplinary studio that emphasizes natural handmade materials and small production pieces. Street fashion / style is all the trend right now. And for good reason. The high style of fashion runways does not connect with the everyday man/woman. What’s being worn on the street is a great indiication of a city’s culture vibrancy. This is reflected through bold colours, patterns, mixing different styles and ultimately how one carries themselves. Whether it be Paris, Milan, Florence or London you can see a trend moving towards being more bold and less conventional with the “rules” of matching etc.. I came across Meat & Bread on one of my many branding inspiration hunts online. What I’ve come across is a place that not only has some kick ass branding but the menu and dinning concept looks amazing. The best part for us West Coasters is that it’s in Vancouver. I must compile a list of amazing cafes/restaurants/bars that I need to hit up while I’m in Vancouver next. This would definitely be on that list. I speak about simplicity often but for very good reason. The way of design, eating and living is coming back to being more simple and straight forward.

Typography – ” Typography uses typefaces and the whitespace around and through them to create a whole design. ” A lot of people don’t realize how important typography is in design and how much of a role it has.”
Here is a collection of amazing typography. Anyone who loves graphic design will love these. Great typography makes design jump off the page/screen and getting great results is much much harder than it looks. The examples here are some of the most creative work I’ve come across in a long time. Amazing to see how people really stretch themselves and push the design boundaries. great inspiration.
