Like all FlyDirect destinations the Costa del Sol has become a real favourite with islanders and for 2013 we have a choice of Easter, early Spring and late summer departures.
Torremolinos Arguably the liveliest resort on the coast with a fine sandy beach and any number of bars, restaurants and shops. The town is centred on the Calle San Miguel, the main pedestrianized street which runs through the centre of the town down to the steep steps which eventually take you onto the beach. There is a promenade running alongside the beach along which you can walk through La Carihuela right to Benalmadena. Certainly during the low season when our flights are planned Torremolinos has a much different atmosphere to the high season, more Spanish and a lot less crowded.
La Carihuela Once a small fishing village, this area still retains a village atmosphere with many of the old cottages and buildings still remaining, although it is now mainly pedestrianised with plenty of shopping opportunities. There is a long sandy beach and the area is particularly known for its choice of superb fish restaurants all within easy walking distance. Along the beach itself many of the ‘chiringuitos’ beach bars offer a range of tasty tapas ideal for lunch!
Benalmadena A little further along the coast and easily reached along the promenade, the focal point of Benalmadena is the marina, a well-established area with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. There are a number of fine hotels along the coast, and those featured in our holiday programme are within easy reach of the marina. Benalmadena is a busy area with a lively atmosphere and is always a popular choice.
Fuengirola Very popular with British holidaymakers, Fuengirola is a large, very busy, bustling town with plenty going on day and night. With its long sandy beach and host of attractions it is always popular with families, but the old town has retained much of its charm with a number of local tapas bars and restaurants and is well worth a visit. We also feature an area known as Mijas Costa which is just a mile or so further along the coast and has a much quieter appeal.

There is a Spanish style courtyard for relaxing and the restaurant offers buffet style meals. Because of the location of this property we expect it to be very popular so early booking is recommended.

Just a mile from Fuengirola, this large resort is built in traditional Spanish village style with steep inclines and steps throughout. There are a choice of studios, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, furnished in characteristic style with open plan lounges with sofa-beds, equipped kitchens, TVs, and CD players. Cala d’Or New for 2013 this resort is about 40 miles southeast of Palma and was once a small traditional fishing village, but is now a busy thriving resort which has expanded over the years. There are a number of small, attractive sandy coves and creeks which are ideal for sunbathing and swimming.
C’an Pastilla Also new for 2013 and just a short transfer from the airport, this small town has the one main street which is set amongst a number of tiny packed streets which eventually lead down to the harbour and beach area. There is a good sandy beach and a promenade allowing you to walk to neighbouring areas.
Palma A town of many contrasts and cultures which is dominated by the beautiful Cathedral. There is so much to see and do in Palma, from the old town with its range of Tapas bars, the Paseo Maritimo where you can stroll along the port, designer shopping, local markets and shops, a superb choice of restaurants but perhaps above all the wonderful atmosphere that is apparent throughout.

Es Castell A residential quiet area just a short distance from Mahon which enjoys beautiful views across the harbour, with the few shops, bars and civil offices being centred around the main square. Just a short stroll away is the tiny harbour of Cala Fonts with just a few small fishing boats, a few local shops and a choice of mainly fish restaurants, its well worth a visit one evening for dinner.
S’Algar Located on the south east corner of the island and just a short transfer from the airport, this is a really quiet resort, with a only a very narrow strip of beach and just a couple of small local food shops, the nearest sandy cove is a 15 minute walk away at Cala Alcaufar. Local buses operate to Mahon. S’Algar is ideal if you are seeking a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
Punta Prima Just a little further along the coast from S’Algar, Punta Prima has a good size beach of white sand, however the sea can have strong currents at certain times. It is a well laid out quiet resort although there are a couple of supermarkets, and a choice of bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance.
Cala Galdana Considered to be the most picturesque, and most photographed resort on the island Cala Galdana has a beautiful horseshoe shaped sandy bay, with tall pine clad cliffs surrounding the beach and affording spectacular views right across the bay area. Although a small resort there are plenty of shops and bars all within easy walking distance of the centre.

Holiday Prices All flight and holiday prices in this brochure have been costed on flight prices, exchange rates and hotel tariffs at the time of printing (November 2012). With increased security measures and the current volatility of fuel prices and currency exchange, extra fees and surcharges are often introduced at short notice and we reserve the right to pass on any such increases to the client. In the event of any such increases by the airlines and/or hoteliers and/or transport providers these increases will be passed on to the client.
