After NotePad launches, it shows you a blank page where you can type the HTML. As an example, type the simple page shown earlier in Figure 2-4. The result looks like Figure 2-6.

Saving your file as HTML After you type an adequate amount of material in your HTML, it’s time to save the file to disk. Then you can open it in your favorite Web browser and see how it looks when the HTML is rendered (interpreted by the browser). Choose File ➪ Save, which pops up the Save As dia­ log box shown in Figure 2-7.
