C900 WORLDTIMER - NEW For many people the beauty of a watch is in how it looks externally…and the C900 Worldtimer is a beautiful watch by this measure. However, for those of us for whom the true art of a watch lies beneath the dial, it is the work that our master watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, has done with the ETA 2893 automatic movement that makes this such a beautiful watch. To make both time-zones function on a 24 hour basis, unlike most Worldtimer's where only the GMT hand rotates once every 24 hours, Johannes has modified the gearing of the 2893. Additionally, he has managed to synchronise this to a rotating disc which has the time-zones indicated by airport codes in a window at
the 24 hours position. The same disc also shows the geographic position of the airport simultaneously on the C900's magnificent 3-dimensional world map dial. The modifications, all managed through the single crown function, render the C900 Worldtimer incredibly easy to read and operate – something that every world traveller will appreciate. We believe Calibre JJ03 is a world first for Christopher Ward, no small feat in itself, and a patent has been applied for which is currently pending. This unique and magnificent timepiece is beautiful, amusing and moves the art of horology a little further forward. We are proud it bears our name.

Nothing unites young and old so effectively as a shared passion. For some it is sport, for others it might be music, classic cars, travel or history. But the common denominator which enabled 28-year-old Johannes Jahnke and an 87-yearold Jean Fillon to form an almost instant bond is their mutual fascination for horology – or, more specifically, for solving the problems it so often produces. Jean Fillon was just 24 years of age when he arrived at James Aubert, the Swiss movement manufacturer that had been established in the early 20th century to specialise in supplying chronograph mechanisms for the leading watch brands of the day.
The bespoke JJ02 calibre movement of the C900 has been extensively reworked from a Fillon design with a new main plate, bridges, winding mechanism, centre-second wheels, and a swan neck adjustment system. The highly legible dial carries a continuous seconds subdial and a 30-minute totaliser. All functions are controlled through the single pusher crown and the large exhibition back allows the mechanism to be admired in all its glory. The C900 SPC has been acclaimed by the world of watchmaking and was recently a finalist for European Watch Of The Year. Only 250 examples in this version will ever be constructed.

The Mark I version of our Jumping Hour watch was a finalist in the 00/24 Watch World European Watch Of The Year Awards 2012 and the extraordinary JJ01 complication, created by master watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, has deservedly been acclaimed by many experts since its arrival in 2011. For the Mark II version and this special solid Rose Gold Bezel edition, Johannes has further refined his ingenious adaptation of ETA's 2824-2 movement to produce what, in his own words, is “probably the most precise jumping hour movement the world has yet seen”. Hyperbole is anathema to Mr Jahnke so you can ignore his "probably," probably! Witnessing the
remarkably smooth transition of the hours and the perfect alignment of minute hand and hour dial is a delight and glorious affirmation of devotion to continuous improvement. Additionally, the new version has adopted the case and dial aesthetic which was introduced for the C900 Single Pusher Chronograph giving the Mark II a crisp and subtle design and a pure, more subtle feel than its sold out predecessor. Each of the 250 pieces of this version of the Mark II will be assembled at our workshop in Biel, Switzerland, by Johannes and his team and will arrive with a letter of authenticity signed by Johannes.

“Timeless classic ” is a very over-used phrase to describe watches and we have occasionally fallen into the trap ourselves. Nevertheless, it is difficult to find a more appropriate way of describing the C9 Harrison Automatic. It was both a landmark for Christopher Ward being one of the first two designs introduced in 2005.The most significant change in this second version is the change to a slightly larger
39mm case and the new one-piece dial with a glorious optic white or sunray galvanic finish. Subtle elongations to the raised indexes add to the contemporary but timeless appeal of the new design. The Malvern MK II is a worthy successor to its famous predecessor. A new legend in the making.

C3 MALVERN CHRONOGRAPH MK II When pouring over vintage Aston Martin dashboards at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon in early 2004 we were inspired to create the original C3 Chronograph. We had no idea then that this classic looking sports watch would become such an iconic watch for the CW brand.
In Mark II trim, the new version loses none of the quintessentially English appeal of the original. The new galvanic and optic white one piece dials, as well as bringing a fresh, more contemporary appeal, also add greater clarity to the chronograph eyes, giving them greater prominence.

Christopher Ward's most technically sophisticated aviation watch is inspired by one of the most advanced military aircraft in the world, the RAF's multi-role combat fighter, the FGR4 Typhoon. The watch, which is powered by a modified version of ETA's 7750 chronograph movement, is the first in our entire collection to have a high-tech ceramic case, making the C1000 Typhoon light yet virtually indestructible. Built around a titanium sub-frame for additional strength, the ceramic used is one of the most advanced composites in the world and at seven times stronger than steel, only a diamond will make a mark on the durable and highly scratch-resistant surface. The charcoal black dial, which uses the font of the
Typhoon's Head Up Display (HUD) for the SuperLuminovaTM numerals, carries the RAF's low visibility, baby blue and salmon pink roundel at 6 O’clock, and even the outlines of the chronograph eyes have been subtly indented with the shape of the planes after-burners. The dramatic delta-wing shape of the aircraft is captured on the counter-balance of the second hand and the distinctive small forward wings, known as canards, at the tip. The trademark Christopher Ward deep-etched engraving on the reverse captures the plan of the Typhoon perfectly and the ensemble is finished superbly with a high density webbing strap and titanium buckle. C8 REGULATOR - NEW Before the advent of more modern methods of checking for the accuracy of a watch, watchmakers used a regulator clock where the hour, minute and second hands are operated separately, to check their work. More recently, mechanical regulator watches were used during Second World War bombing raids when greater precision was essential. The aesthetic of the C8 Regulator has been strongly influenced by this period. The most important hand, the minute hand, is centrally located, whilst the hours and seconds can be read from the two sub-dials which are established at the bi-polar points of the dial in traditional fashion. The ‘Old
Radium’ SuperLuminovaTM finish of the hands and indexes adds to the military feel of the watches as does the aviation theme of the over-sized crown and the superb distressed vintage leather strap. The new Bader deployment is also fitted as standard. The 44mm C8 case always makes an important statement but it is the reverse of the case on the Regulator which will attract attention. A full-width transparent crystal back plate allows the magnificent bespoke hand-wound Unitas 6498 movement to be seen in all its full resplendent glory. An unusual and special watch for those of you who prefer not to follow the herd.

The design cues of the C10 Aviator MKI are clearly inspired by the B-Uhren watches of the 1940's. The triangular reference point at 12 o'clock and the large, diamond shaped crown are dead give-aways. However, the spirit of this latest addition to the Christopher Ward aviation series is rooted in the pioneering airmen of the early years of the 20th Century. The 42mm case of the C10, although not small, hits the sweet spot for most wearers and is certainly more in tune with the era before the over-sized pilot watch became the norm. The reverse of the case carries a deep-etched engraving of the iconic Sopwith Camel bi-plane together with the Latin inscription, 'mea anima est in caelum' which translates as 'my soul is in the sky' – a sentiment we feel would have been approved of by those courageous men in their flying machines. A superb Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement provides the soul for the C10, guaranteeing that time will take wing, time and time again.

We had been looking for something special to celebrate Aston Martin's centenary. When Christopher Bennett of TMBArtMetal showed us the piece of aluminium that formed part of the winning Aston Martin DBR1/2 in the Le Mans 24 hour race of 1959 – our wildest hopes were immediately exceeded. For, in front of us was a genuine piece of automotive history from a car that had recently been sold for £20million, making it the second most expensive car ever, and we had a piece of the very car that represented Aston Martin’s finest achievement on a race track in their 100 year history. Life is good sometimes; very good. It didn’t take very long to decide that a modified version of our sold out C70 DBR1 Chronometer was the perfect model. Indeed it was almost surreal that we loved this race so much that we had already created a model in homage to the only ever Aston victory at Le Mans. Johannes Jahnke, a committed car enthusiast himself, carefully prepared the historic metal to allow us to incorporate a medallion into the backplate of each of the 100 pieces of the special limited edition. The design of the medallion, with another touch of authenticity, includes a perfect facsimile of the cars number 5 which has been covered by a museum-grade sapphire crystal.

C70 VW4 CHRONOMETER - N EW LIMITED EDITION The C70 VW4 Chronometer has been inspired by the 1957 victory at Aintree of the Vanwall VW4 racing car that started with Tony Brooks behind the wheel and took the chequered flag with Stirling Moss in the driver's seat. This was the first time a World Championship Grand Prix race had been won in Britain by a British car, driven by British drivers. As the Vanwall cars were constructed in Maidenhead, the home of Christopher Ward, the astonishing story of how this British team fought off and beat the then all-conquering Ferrari's is particularly close to us, and we felt an overwhelming need to create a watch of equal style and panache to celebrate the achievement.
The movement, a rare chronometer version of ETA's superb 251 calibre movement, sets the bar very high for yet another signature motor racing watch from the CW design studio. The Number 20 of the winning car occupies the 12 O’clock position on the face, while the 18 of the second machine is highlighted in Vanwall's trim colour of yellow on the bezel. Moss's astonishing 90.61mph best average lap speed is picked out in red on the tachymeter. The reverse of the watch enshrines the British achievement with a deep-etched engraving. The C70 VW4 Chronometer is available in a limited edition of just 1,957 pieces.

In 1954, in collaboration with Pan Am Airways, Rolex developed the first dual-time watch, the GMT Master, which had the incredibly useful function for the airline's personnel of being able to tell the time in two separate time zones simultaneously. Since then many luxury watch brands have designed
their own versions of this watch and now we have given the iconic design a Christopher Ward make-over using the stunning ETA 2893-2 automatic movement as the power source. And because the Trident has a unidirectional bezel it is possible to know the time in three time-zones simultaneously.
