Chair Business Card Business card for an industriel designer who design and produce chairs. The client wanted something that people would'nt throw away and keep somewhere in their office. Doing a miniature chair as a business card was the best thing to do. Cute, simple and clever. Arriscar o Real/ Risking Reality The Arriscar o Real (Risking Reality) exhibition focuses on various artists who have explored the mimesis of reality and transformed this question into a paradox. Divided into three sections with corresponding spaces, the dominant concept was associated to the meaning of the real and figurative in space. The exhibition’s design was not restricted to a merely informative aspect, it intervened directly in the museum’s space. The typography - normally associated to a 2-dimensional format - was materialised in the form of a genuine object of design. We attempted to use colour to guide visitors’ movement through the exhibition. The impact of red, in the entrance hall, was progressively attenuated through recourse to shades of grey, applied in the different sections of the museum. In this manner, the visitor’s itinerary evolved from darker to lighter shades. 3-dimensional letters were placed on the entrance hall floor, forming the words – 'Arriscar o Real'. However the manner in which these letters were read altered in accordance with the observer’s viewpoint. The letters were red - like the colour of the Museum’s entrance hall - and the public could lean against them while admiring the works of art. CRD Identity The task was to create an identity for (visual/graphic) artist Cathrine Raben Davidsen, also known under the signature CRD, an already established artist within the Danish art world. The identity was to take its starting point in the universe created by Cathrine Raben Davidsen’s paintings. The identity had to appear simple, clear and easily recognizable and it was not to be limiting, rather it should contain artistic freedom and flexibility for the artist herself and for the development of the various publications made in connection with Cathrine Raben Davidsen’s exhibitions. The use of fluorescent spray paint is a consistent expression throughout CRD’s own universe. Along with the CRD signature, used as logo, the entire fluorescent colour palette, makes up the backbone of the graphic identity.

The way in which CRD uses the fluorescent spray paints has been the primary source of inspiration for creating a logo, which is expressed through a stencil. Rolls of logo tape, logo stencils and typography with an incorporated CRD stencil cut make up the tools of the identity. The use of these tools allow for artistic freedom and expression on/with everything from business cards, stationary, packaging, production/publication of printed matter and art(istict)publications to the signature on the back of CRD’s works. Moshi Moshi Mind Moshi Moshi Mind is a store selling all kinds of wellness products. The brief for the series of packaging for moshi moshi mind was to find a graphic language that could include all kinds of different products. From herbal teas, and vitamins to heavy-heavy chocolate and body oils etc. We wanted the packaging to have a look that could fit into contemporary clothing stores – one that would look beautiful in the store and one that people would like to have at display in their kitchen or bathroom. Moshi Moshi Mind is owned by two girls who have been together for a century - so we liked the idea with the two circles becoming one. The two dots in the design are also the dots from the it's in moshi moshi. The dots are also very organic and a relaxing shape. The colour palette contains only 9 colours which you can combine in any way you like. All of the colours are pastels to give it that relaxing feeling of harmony. The paper is uncoated so it feels nice and organic when touching it. The typeface we use is Foundry Wilson P, classic and modern at the same time. The New Season for Place Des Arts Posters promoting the new season for La Place des Arts in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The season combines contemporary dance, multimedia and theatre. Visuals expressing construction and deconstruction of the dancers with 45 degree lines represents well the essence of the season. Enter The Exhibition ‘Enter’ presents 20 young, Danish, visual artists who in recent years have distinguished themselves through innovative and challenging work. The art presented on the exhibition was very different in its expression. From paintings, collage, installation and a lot of video. We wanted to find a visual language that could suit all of these different artists. We chose to print in a fifth color - the floresent green. Green of course of the young artists establising themselves - and floresent to give the feeling of something new / contemporary. The client Brandts is a well-known contemporary art center in Denmark. HRC 08 The Human Rights Campaign was in full force for the election year with many high profile projects and endorsements, and the theme: Politics of Possibility was an underlying message for a majority of them. One of the biggest challenges this year was to make the annual memorable, but not flashy and overly expensive looking. The oversize self-mailer format and light weight envirofriendly papers helped drive the design, but by keeping a more typographic design we were able to create visual voice without looking overly produced. Trem Malucon The graphic project of the infant Brazilian book Trem Maluco ( The Crazy train)tries to break the paradigm that a book must obey a determined illustration style. To develop an innovative layout, we created, in every couple of pages, a different illustration, with the intention to amplify, in a vertiginous way, the children's visual repertory, abusing of most distinct illustration techniques. The design allows the narrative structuration in short poems, once the illustrations attend the different scenarios in which the "Crazy Train" finds itself. Unwearable Jewels Solange Azagury-Partridge is a London-based jewelry designer. Unwearable Jewels was the first exhibition of her work in New York City, including her Cosmic collection of precious stone jewelry, extravagant handmade carpets, and a diamond chandelier. Evoking the opulent spirit of the exhibition, the 112-page book is designed like a series of jewel settings, each more excessive than the last. The interior pages mix super high-gloss black paper with matte stock and gold reflective foil to accentuate the fire of the most exotic pieces. The end-pages feature a custom-designed pattern inspired by the diamond chandelier, seductively printed in gold ink on black matte stock. And the whole project is wrapped in the mystique of a jewelry box with a black velvet cover stamp-printed in gold foil. The elegant typography, delicate patterns, eclectic materials, and sophisticated printing make the book simultaneously serious and joyful, intuitive and artificial, concrete and fantastical. They help recreate “the wicked aroma of dangerous and mesmerizing beauty” inhaled by Béatrice Salmon in her Introductory essay on the decadent luxury and fantasy of Azagury-Partridge’s work.
