Dear Parents, We at Fountainhead always believe in learning and upgrading ourselves. ICT technology is an important aspect in all areas of life and has varied benefits. ICT can help us share information with parents as well as become an interaction medium. In line with our policy to provide best and hassle free communication which will benefit all parents, students and management we are in a process to implement a School Management Software (SMS) for admin, parents and students. We started this software last year and are productively implementing it internally within the staff. SMS will cover all following modules which will be a huge time saver and will facilitate proper and effective communication among management, parents and students. In addition we have also started the class and subject specific school blogs on our school website, which is an initiative to keep parents informed about the happenings in the school in the most effective way on a regular basis. Parents can have access to below given sites: 1. Students Operation Modules (SOM) In these modules you can access Students profile, Fee details (One time admission fees, Security fees, and Current year tuitions fees & Imprest deposit), Staff details, Transport details and Sibling details. 2. Gmail Account You can access the Gmail account from same ID, given to you. (You can use this account to interact with parents, students and FS staff). The Gmail account will help parents to interact with teachers, FS parents, staff members. They can also access blog, School management software and Gmail account to have any kind of communication with FS family. Sr No

3. School Blogs School Blogs are a part of our initiative of using online tools to share information with parents and students and the world at large. You can subscribe to blogs by email–the link is on the top right in the Blog Page. You can comment on the blog posts.
Step 1:- How to access School Management Software (SMS) All parents & students are requested to check your email regarding username & password to access the school management software. After checking your email ID and password click on the following link: www.fountainheadschools.org 1) On Right hand side upper corner, login menu is available, click on Parents/Students login and a new page for the login page will be available.

2) On first attempt, software will ask you, I accept, continue to my account and then again click on the tab, Allow.
3) It will ask for change of password. In old password you have to provide the password which is sent to you on your respective email ID and SMS (mobile) and in new password as well as confirmed password you have to enter your new password.
4) If you want to access your Gmail account you can access using the same e-mail and password. 5) Again go through the same process, Enter your username & password, click on Allow tab and you can access your account.
6) On Right hand side upper corner Change Password & SIGN OUT option is there.
7) 8) Please note your school management software & Gmail password remains same. So, if you want to change your password, you can change it through school management software using change password functionally.
Step: - 2 How to use the Software with screen shots. This management software will cover following modules: 1. Students operation details A. Students Profile details Student’s information, Family information, HRT’s Details, House details, Board, Grade & Section details B. Fee details You can view your child’s fee status e.g.:- Security Deposit, Admission fees, tuition fees, impress fees. C. Sibling details Details of elder or younger child studying at FS. D. Transport details You can view student’s transportation details, pick up & drop off timings along with stop and bus routes.

Left hand sides click on view profile. In this student profile you can see the student’s information, Fee details, Staff details, Sibling details, Transportation details.
School Calendar Left hand sides click on school calendar. (To view daily events, and holidays)
Student attendance details Left hand sides click on student’s attendance. Select Student name, than from date to date, click on show.
Please note: 1. You will be able to see attendance of students from the January onwards. 2. From next academic year (2012-2013), you will be able to access the attendance module from beginning of the year.
3. Blogs:Kindly note the commenting system on the blog has been changed and email subscription is functional now. From now on every parent/student has to login to the blog with their email id’s allocated by the school, to be able comment on the blog. Reasons for moving to login based commenting system: • •
It will enable school staff to know which student or which parent has commented with their authentic email id’s being recorded when they login and comment. It will prevent spam comments being made by people other than the school community.
Below mentioned are the two ways for commenting on the blog post:1) On accessing the school blog through the school website: http://fountainheadschools.org/, there is a Login bar on the right hand side corner, from the drop- down box you need to select Blog Login.

Open the blog post you want to comment on in another tab, and then, you will be able to comment as below, and click on post comment.
2. When you want to comment on the blog post, you will get a message stating- “you must be logged in to post a comment. Click on “Logged in” as seen in the screenshot below:

Please login with your email- id provided above by school and the password which you have changed (By following the process described above for the first login): After entering your email as username and the password given, click on login, the following screen will open:
Now you can comment in the text box and click on submit to post your comment. You can also subscribe to particular blog categories such as your child’s class blog so that you receive notification on your email whenever a teacher posts a new blog post on that particular category of blog:
You need to follow the steps mentioned below to subscribe and avail the above feature:-

3) Then you will be asked for your email address (please specify the email address on which you wish to receive notifications for the blog)

4) Click on subscribe and then enter the code shown and click on submit. 5) Once finished with the above step you will receive an email on the email account which you have specified. The email will contain a link. 6) Click on the link. You will be able to view a list of categories on the blog. Kindly select the blog categories, you want to subscribe to and submit the form. Blog categories must for subscription: • Your Child’s class- section blog • Notices and circulars • News and events
Recommended categories for subscription • Single subject blogs:- Dance and drama, Visual arts, PE and Sports, Music, Hindi and Gujarati, ICT, SEN • Leadership blog • HOS blog (Head of school’s blog)
Please note: 1. You can subscribe to the blog using more than one email id. 2. You can subscribe to as many blog categories as you want. 3. Once you subscribe to particular blog categories, you will receive notifications as emails with complete text of the post and links to youtube videos if embedded and pictures, once anyone posts a new post on that category.
4. Advantages of subscribing to the blog: You will need not check the blog often, you will get all the post text for your child’s section blog, notices and circulars, information the upcoming events and what is going on in single subjects through your mail itself.
