Latte Art

Creating beautiful patterns on the froth of the cappuccino or café latte is the signature of a great barista. It’s also a great way to enhance the value in your menu. Here are a few tips on how you can professionally decorate and enhance your beverage menu with NESCAFÉ Milano.

With NESCAFÉ Milano it is easy to prepare Latte Art designs. Minimum skill training is required and preparation time takes around 10 – 15 seconds. The NESCAFÉ Milano system readily enables milk and the coffee to be separated. Simply select the Latte or Cappuccino button and allow the milk to dispense Into the glass or cup. The espresso shot is dispensed after the milk has poured and can be captured separately into a paper cup or jug to make the Latte Art.


Chocolate Wheel Prepare a cafĂŠ latte. Cross the surface from four angles with chocolate. Draw a spiral from the edge to the center using a stick.


Chaplet

Start with a cup of cappuccino. Squeeze chocolate into an octagonal pattern around the edge of the coffee. Take a stick and draw a circle through the chocolate.


Birds

Prepare a cafĂŠ latte. Squeeze chocolate in one continuous line in a zig-zag pattern covering the surface of the coffee. Finish off by drawing the stick through the stripes in an S - formation, ending up with a mesh pattern.


Cappuccino Swirl Prepare a cappuccino separating the espresso shot in a paper cup. Pour the espresso and reserve a little bit of crema for creating a cross pattern on the froth. Cross the surface from four angles with chocolate. Draw a spiral from the edge to the center using a stick.


Flame

Prepare a cappuccino and reserve the espresso shot in a paper cup. Squeeze a thick band of espresso across the middle to get an even band of coffee on the froth. Take chocolate and pencil it along the edges of the band. Use a stick to make a wave pattern through each edge of the coffee and the chocolate.


Leaves

Prepare a cafĂŠ latte separating the espresso shot in a paper cup. Pour the espresso and reserve a little bit of crema for creating a wave pattern on the froth. Follow the wave pattern with chocolate. Draw a line straight through the center of the waves using a stick.


Latte Waves

Prepare a cafĂŠ latte separating the espresso shot in a paper cup. Pour the espresso and reserve a little bit of crema for creating a cross pattern on the froth. Cross the surface from four angles with chocolate. Draw a spiral from the edge to the center using a stick.


Orchid

Prepare a cafĂŠ latte separating the espresso shot in a paper cup. Pour the espresso and reserve a little bit of crema for creating a large dot. Surround the dot with a circle. Follow the two circles with chocolate. Use a small stick and drag the chocolate from the edge to the centre and out again to make 10 different angles, five from the centre to the rim, and five from the rim out.
