Let Us Celebrate Our Future! There’s just something about fairs that I love. I can’t really tell what exactly, but perhaps it’s the crowd. Maybe all the gadgets. Or that everything happens all at the same time. I’m guessing it’s probably all of the above creating that bubbly feeling. CHARM is an amazing product of driven people. We’d be nothing without all the committed students, companies and visitors. CHARM has been a unique meeting platform between students and the industry for 40 years. I hope and believe we will do it for another 40, at least. So use the time at the fair carefully and explore opportunities, new people, insights and the good vibe! See you at the fair,

Celebrate the 40th Fair and Bring the Tradition of New Meetings Forward
This year we celebrate the CHARM 40th anniversary. Consequently the theme for CHARM 2015 is celebrate. There are many good reasons for this. Over these forty years our career fair has grown into the obvious meeting place between the business community and public sector on the one hand, and students heading into the working life on the other. Every year numerous contacts are created – to the benefit of both parts. But there is more to it than that. Meeting a wide variety of companies and organisations proves to you the value of the knowledge and abilities your education has given you; and furthermore, how important it is to have an open mind for skills and understanding alongside your head track. With this in mind CHARM is the perfect opportunity to explore the options you have for your future, enhancing the chances to fulfill your dreams and wishes.

With your coming Chalmers degree you are already one step ahead of many other students – but don’t forget the importance of your individual choice on what to do and in what context to do this. In order to get the most out of your visit to CHARM a good advice is to spend some time well in advance to reflect on possible career steps. Then present your thoughts to the corporations attending the career fair – they will appreciate your reflections, and that contact may open the door to something really worth celebrating.

he CHARM committee is run by 18 students that work for a year to create Scandinavia’s leading career fair.

he Marketing group is responsible of marketing CHARM towards students and companies. The CHARM catalogue is their main task but they also make sure to promote all the events, the fair and the recruitments during the year.

he group of Corporate Relations & Events is in charge of the business relations between the committee and potential exhibitors. While filling the fair with interesting companies, they are also responsible for the banquet, finding sponsors and all events during the fair.

Get Ready for CHARM What Do You Want to Achieve? Are you visiting the fair to find a new job, thesis work or do you simply want to get inspired? Think through what you want to achieve during CHARM and find the companies and events that suit your objectives by reading through the CHARMcatalogue.
Get Ahead Before the Fair Before the fair starts you have the opportunity to visit a lot of exciting events to get you inspired and ready for the fair. preCHARM is our way of helping students prepare for by involving selected companies in the process. Read more about what preCHARM has to offer on the next page.
During the Fair Remember that the companies visit CHARM to meet you so do not be afraid to approach them. Always introduce yourself and do so with a handshake. The company representatives have different work experience so do not be afraid to ask for the right person to talk to depending on your objectives. Also remember to visit CHARMarena and listen to the inspirational lectures that we have to offer. It is a great way to get an overview over companies that interest you and to get motivated.

From Intern to CEO
What are the traits that define good leadership? What is the importance of having clear goals and dreams? These questions and more will be answered by our inspirational speaker during CHARM 2015, Mara Maric. She became “Settler of the year� in 2012 which awarded her a prize from the King of Sweden. Her story about transitioning from an intern on the factory floor to CEO and leading a successful company in an industry dominated by men has led to her being featured in newspapers and radio. Beyond sharing her life story Mara will also touch on topics ranging from company growth, the importance of language as well as giving her four best leadership advice for successful leaders.
