Practice Schedule Tuesday, May 1 is the first day of practice. Swimmers should be at the JCC pool at least 5 to 10 minutes before practice starts. Avoid starting late and losing precious practice time! PRACTICE WILL BE DROP OFF AND PICK UP ONLY

Practice Times Ages 8 & under: 4:30 - 5:15pm | Ages 9 & older: 5:15 - 6:15pm Friday All Swim: 4:00-5:00pm
Meet Times Meets begin at 7pm. Warm-ups start at 6pm. Be sure to arrive at the pool by 5:30pm. This gives time for everyone to get settled, prepared, and psyched up for the meet. It also serves as a time buffer, should you get caught in traffic and are running late.
Other Information Please feel free to bring up any suggestions or problems to the coaches. Team mom’s are also a great way to get to the coaches, so please check with Sharon or Ruth if you have questions. Coaches are available before and after practice only.
Attendance: Attendance is required at both home and away meets. Swimmers must notify Coach Brittany 24 hours if you are unable to partake in meets.
Heat Sheets Fundraiser Heat Sheets will be a fundraiser this year. If you desire a Heat Sheet, they will be available for $1 each at the Oy Vey CafĂŠ. Proceeds from the Heat Sheets will be used to fund the end of season party and trophies. Heat Sheet Sponsor $50 - List your company name & phone number on all JCC Heat Sheets.
Parent Obligations Each family will be required to work 2 meets during the season. The sign up sheet will be posted at the team orientation and throughout the first practices until it is filled. Please contact our Swim Moms if you have any questions about what each job entails. *If your family is unable to volunteer you can do a buyout of $75 that will go towards Starfish Fundraising efforts.

Any changes to the practice or meet schedule will be printed in a handout if possible, and posted near the pool, and on the JCC’s website: www.charlestonjcc.org. Meet results, pictures and team news will be posted on the JCC facebook page - be sure to check it out!
CCAA City-Wide Swim Meet The City Championship is July 15-17 this year, so mark your calendars! If you know you will be unavailable any of those days, let the coaches know. We will also have a missed meet book in the lifeguard room. If you know you are going to miss any of the meets listed on the insert (see insert) be sure to write your name on the designated meet sheet. Kosher Facility The JCC is a Kosher facility. The Oy Vey Café will be open during meets for snacks and drinks. Hydration is crucial, so be sure to bring a water bottle to practice as well as meets! If you need to bring an energy drink, please bring Powerade or Gatorade bearing the kosher symbols*.
*Kosher Symbols include: Practice & Meet Candy Bags All parents will be required to bring in 1 bag of individually wrapped non-chocolate Kosher candy for after practices and heats. Please check for kosher symbols* on the bag. Examples include: Twizzlers, Laffy Taffy, Mike and Ikes, Dum Dums Coach Brittany has requested that you bring gym shoes just in case we can’t get in the water.
