SHALOM! MISSION STATEMENT The Charleston Jewish Community Center exists to nurture and enrich our Jewish identity as we respect diversity by focusing on culture, education, social and physical development, and service needs. The Center enhances the quality of Jewish life for individuals, families and the community.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES The JCC is always looking for volunteers ages 16 and over to help enhance our programs and services. Volunteer for a onetime event, a weekly project, or anything in between. Members have access to our Junior olympic-sized Pearlstine Pool, Fitness Center & Body Training Systems® (BTS®) Group Fit and Group Cycling classes, Senior Fit classes, yoga, basketball and tennis courts, locker rooms with showers and saunas, the Senior Lounge, an auditorium for meetings and much more!

Our Senior members enjoy popular day trips, Bingo games, “Lunch and Learns”, “Chat Rooms”, and other activities that will keep you connected to the community.

Sports & Recreation & Aquatics Programming Our members get to take full advantage of our basketball court as well as youth and adult basketball leagues. The JCC works in partnership with the City of

Charleston and St. Andrews to provide these competitive leagues for program participants. The Pearlstine Pool not only hosts the annual “City Meet” but also is home to the JCC swim team, swim lessons, pool rentals and so much more. Membership rates are flexible and affordable, as low as $38 per month!

SENIOR PROGRAMMING SENIOR PROGRAMS The Charleston JCC Senior program offers transportation, guest speakers, exercise programs, day trips, games, and various collaborations with other senior organizations in the area. Our seniors can enjoy the JCC’s Senior Lounge for coffee, snacks, and social time with their friends. Up-to-date information on all our senior activities can be found in the Active Adults Calendar, published quarterly. SENIOR FOREVER FIT

AQUATICS AQUATICS Summers in Charleston are hot! What better way to cool off than to take a dip in The Pearlstine Pool? Whether enjoying one of our aquatic fitness classes, racing down the lane with the Starfish swim team, or even just beginning to learn how to swim, the Charleston JCC has it all. Dive on in!

AQUA ZUMBA WITH PRISCA

DIVE IN‌Whether you want group or private swim lessons, the JCC has knowledgeable swim instructors available to help meet your aquatics goals for the summer. All private swim lessons are personalized for each individual and are held one on one at a mutually convenient time. Contact Ronneca Watkins to sign up for swim lessons.

Recreation Department are teaming up again this summer to bring you the best team in the CCAA! Practices begin May, 1st. Registration begins in mid-January. Practice times will vary, according to the age group. Meets are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with the schedule provided by CCAA in late May. This is a parent-supported team and family volunteers are always needed.
