THE CONCEPT Imposing and impressive. The breath-taking Gotthard region is the most important mountain pass connecting the Northern and Southern Alps. Especially interesting and stunning is the old road in Val Tremola on the south side of the Gotthard, which is also the longest road construction memorial in Switzerland. The narrow serpentines of the Via Tremola wind from Airolo over the bumpy cobbles and steeply rise up to the Gotthard summit. Challenging and overcoming the historical roads of the mountain pass is the dream of any passionate cyclist and was the inspiration for the development of the new SKINS cycle range.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES SKINS scientifically proven compression technology helps to improve blood circulation which results in more oxygen being transported to active muscles, allowing more power for cyclists to ascend and enjoy the Gotthard. A further advantage of compression is the reduced vibration on muscle and joints, which often occurs when riding on bumpy roads, whether it’s ascending or descending a mountain. While the Bib Shorts retain full gradient compression the new jerseys, “Tremola” and “Gottardo”, offer partial gradient compression to the arms, which is particularly important as the upper body is the most susceptible to vibration. Less muscle vibration protects the muscles and allows for maximum comfort while reducing fatigue.
Changing climatic conditions are especially prevalent in the mountains. Because of these conditions the new range consists of functional Italian materials, which provide optimal moisture management and comfort.

In order to endure a long ride without seat discomfort, an anatomically shaped padding is essential. The chamois distributes pressure evenly over the ischium and pubis areas of the pelvis to provide maximum seat comfort.
