oming up on one year since returning to Morgan County, I am amazed at how quickly the time has passed. It is a privilege to return to my hometown and serve as the executive director of the community foundation. I am fortunate to build upon the foundation’s past successes. Graduating from Martinsville High School in 1989, and ultimately Indiana University Bloomington ('93, '95), I have spent the vast majority of my professional life dedicated to philanthropy within higher education institutions and community foundations. In returning, I find our community full of exceptional leaders working together to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of Morgan County. The many dedicated individuals and groups who volunteer and raise funds for good works make me truly excited for the future of our county. As the community foundation evolves as a philanthropic leader, we hope to focus on impact grant making to support our dynamic non-profit partners. Working together we can define what community means for Morgan County. Twenty years doesn’t seem that long ago and it is good to be home. I am grateful for the overwhelming support of our community in being welcomed back and to renew many old friendships.

2014 Honorary & Memorial Gifts

Honoring a loved one through a charitable gift is an especially meaningful way of paying tribute to someone special. Memorial gifts offer a lasting opportunity to recognize those we hold dear and enhance our contributions by making them a very meaningful and personal experience.
