50 West North Temple is the symbolic heart of the worldwide Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, the Mormons. The square includes the six-spired Temple, Tabernacle, Assembly Hall, information centers, gardens and monuments.

There are 3 entrances where hosts assist visitors in finding tours, concerts or other information. Several types of tours are offered from 9am to 8:15pm, 7 days a week. (800) 537-9703 x4

A year-round resort offering a host of winter and summer activities. Ski resort has 6 chair lifts and is the highest resort in Utah. Snowboard park, ice skating and night skiing. The wildest place in town. Located at the mouth of Emigration Canyon, the Zoo is home to more than 1,000 amphibians, birds, mammals and reptiles from across the world. Special features include Discovery Land, Primate Forest and the African Savannah. The Zoo is located at 2600 East Sunnyside Avenue. Visitors are welcome 7 days a week, 363 days a year. Zoo is closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Call (801) 582-1631 for more information and to hear about upcoming events.

186 miles long, Lake Powell is the second largest man-made reservoir in the world. Open year-round for all water sports activities including houseboating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, camping.

Famed for its 11,623-pipe organ, its choir and superb acoustics. Free 1/2 hour organ recitals at 2pm on Sundays and at noon Monday thru Saturday (also at 2pm during Summer months).

Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcast begins at 9:30am on Sunday mornings; admission is free, but plan on arriving by 9am or so to get a seat.

Zion Canyon Visitors Center is open year-round 8-5 daily. The park is accessible on Scenic Byway 9 from I-15 on the west, or US 89 at Mt. Carmel Junction. (435) 772-3256 Be sure to see the following sights in Zion:

Cedar Breaks National Monument Trolley Square Salt Lake City’s nationally famous shopping and entertainment center situated within renovated 1908 trolley barns. Open day and night with tasteful old-time flair, all indoors. Shops, restaurants, theaters, open market and art displays. Free parking at 5th South and 7th East. (801) 521-9877

Located in the high country north of Zion. Features a multicolored limestone amphitheater surrounded by cool forests and meadows. Scenic drive, picnicking, camping, hiking trails and visitor center. Closed during winter due to snow. Call (435) 586-9451
