COLLEGE LIFE The Central Coast Community College is situated amidst beautiful bushland on the Newcastle University Ourimbah Campus. The College has been proudly delivering high quality training to the local community for more than 30 years, with exceptional facilities that provide students with a realistic working environment. Our trainers are specialists in their field and ensure that all students receive individualised training that will help enhance their skills and knowledge, for both personal and professional development. The Ourimbah campus is not only home to Newcastle University and the Community College, but also houses the Hunter TAFE, as well as several local businesses, all of whom contribute to a diverse and growing community. The Central Coast region offers a relaxed, affordable and convenient lifestyle with access to beautiful beaches and national parks. The Central Coast also offers great shopping and markets, a range of sporting clubs and a host of hidden gems.

Car Parking and Shuttle Services

There is ample parking throughout the University Campus, but please be advised that the car park adjacent to the College does fill quickly. The University may issue parking infringement notices to the driver of any car that is illegally parked on the Campus. A shuttle bus operates during University semesters, which will take you to each car park, the railway station and any overflow parking areas.

Food Services

There are three cafĂŠs on Campus that operate during University semesters. We also provide coffee, tea and filtered water to all classrooms for your convenience. All rooms are equipped with fridges, microwaves and various other kitchen equipment items for your use.

Library

Students may visit and use the Campus Library services, but will need to become Community Borrowers to borrow books from the Library. There is a fee for this service.

Smart and Skilled Funding

We have received Smart and Skilled Funding through the NSW Government, which permits the College to offer eligible students subsidised courses in selected Nationally Recognised Training qualifications. For more information, please contact the College on 4348 4300.

TESTIMONIALS I chose to study at the College to get my career started, even if at the time I was still figuring out what career path that would be! My trainer was fantastic and ensured everyone in the course got the individualised support we needed. I am actually working at the College full-time now and love it! - Baylee, 2015 Trainee Of The Year.

It’s great to be a part of an expanding education program run through the College. Some of the new programs are being aimed at educating our youth; seeing them develop a greater set of skills for future employment is very satisfying. - Mark Deal, College Trainer. I’ve been in the Beauty industry for 20 years now and love being able to pass on my passion, knowledge and experiences to the students here at the College. The facilities are terrific and it is always wonderful to see the students’ blossom throughout their course. - Linda Hill, College Trainer. 15
