Reaching the nations through the nations

Together, we can launch a new era of mission sending

Pastors throughout Southeast Asia lead congregations with access to millions of people who remain unreached with the gospel.

Formerly the Center for Mission Mobilization
There are too few missionaries to reach the remaining nations with the gospel. We mobilize the most strategic churches worldwide to send more missionaries to the unreached.

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

Matthew 9:37

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Psalm 96:3

The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

2 Timothy 2:2

And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?

Romans 10:14–15

3 billion people have no access to the gospel

If left only to the Western world to reach them through traditional missionary work, cultural and political barriers may hinder the spread of the gospel.

Since 2001, Via has been engaged in the pioneering concept of mission mobilization. We send teams to countries around the world with the highest evangelical populations who live in geographic and/or cultural proximity to the unreached. From these locations, our mobilizers empower believers to reach the unreached with the gospel.

Our Mission:

50 indigenous mission movements to the unreached

Each of the 50 countries colored green or dotted are home to at least 1 million believers. They have strategic access to the unreached, (colored red), with many sharing similar languages, geographic proximity, and cultural parallels.

Red countries: at least 5 million unreached people. Green countries: at least 1 million Christians and of strategic interest to Via. The US is green to reflect our international headquarters and local mobilization teams. Our data is collected from The Joshua Project and some cities’ locations are not accurate for security purposes.

Our process propels sustainable mission sending

Discover

We guide churches in Asia, Africa, and Latin America into a biblical understanding of their role in God’s mission, opening their eyes to their proximity to the unreached.

Develop

We provide training and discipleship to develop believers for their role in God’s global mission, whether it be praying, sending, welcoming, mobilizing, or going.

Deploy

Through partnering with indigenous mission agencies, we connect believers with opportunities to deploy as full-time mission workers. We also provide training in support raising, the number one barrier to mission sending.

Annual impact

80,355 People exposed to God’s global mission

66,442 People developed in small groups, trainings, and one-on-one relationships

2,826 New missionaries deployed by our staff and partners

We mobilize three strategic groups

Churches

It’s through the church that missionaries are cultivated and sent out. We resource and equip family, collegiate, and mission pastors to implement simple and reproducible mobilization strategies to increase mission sending from their churches to the unreached.

↑ Yazhu, a Chinese woman called to go to the unreached, struggled with the thought of taking her two young kids to the remote parts of China. But through one of our family mobilization trainings, she realized her children had a part to play in God’s global story too.

College Ministries

University students and young adults are the most recruitable, trainable, and sendable people on the planet. We resource, equip, and train collegiate ministries to infuse mission mobilization to the unreached throughout their evangelism and disciple-making.

↑ Two Kenyan students study Explore, our flagship resource. By lesson three they were convicted to lead their own Explore study with their fellow students, who all began fasting from Wednesday lunches to support an African missionary who serves among the unreached.

Mission Agencies

Indigenous mission agencies are the gateway to sustainable mission sending. We come alongside agencies throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the West to bridge connections to churches and provide infrastructure and training in support raising.

↑ Peruvian gospel workers engage in one of our training activities as they learn to raise personal support. This was one of our first fully translated Bootcamps led completely in Spanish. We are now working toward six additional languages in the next three years.

Mobilizing Churches

We introduce churches to God’s heart for the nations throughout Scripture, the major world religions, and five habits they can practice to reach them with the gospel.

Hunda and his church in Addis Ababa were mobilized to plant a church among the unreached in Ethiopia. The war-torn and divided tribes are now worshipping God together, and living as a unified community of faith. Your investment in the ministry and staff of Via helps us mobilize churches in strategic places in the world to raise up and send out missionaries like Hunda!
