Cazenovia College invites students to expand their college experience through opportunities for international study. The College offers study abroad programs in England, Spain and Japan. The programs range in duration from a few weeks to an entire semester. Alternative Breaks Program at Caz places students in locations such as Syracuse, Georgia, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic to engage in service and experiential learning during semester breaks.

Cazenovia College embraces intercollegiate athletics as an experience that is integral to our

academic mission.

The Cazenovia College Wildcats compete at the NCAA Division III level. Its teams are members of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), and the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA). The College also offers club sport opportunities and provides a formal three-season intramural sports program. Some of our popular intramural and fitness offerings include boot camp fitness, dodge ball, flag football, floor hockey, 3-on-3 basketball, volleyball, and Zumba®.


WORLD CLASS EQUINE FACILITIES

Equestrian Team Hunter Seat Western Dressage

Our Equine Education Center is one of the most modern, well-equipped facilities in the nation. It stables more than 70 horses and serves as a laboratory for our Equine Business Management program, and is also home to the New York State Center for Equine Business Management.

Situated on 243 acres of rolling hills ...

... a few miles from the main campus – the Equine Education Center houses an expansive 100’ x 300’ heated indoor riding arena and two outdoor riding arenas that complement our established western, dressage, reining, driving and hunter-seat riding programs. Riders from Cazenovia College have won numerous national championships, including the Cacchione Cup and other IHSA and IDA national titles.

Cazenovia students have represented the United States and the College at the International Student Riders Nation’s Cup in Belgium and Italy, competing in both dressage and show jumping.

Nearby Cazenovia Lake is an essential part of the student experience at Cazenovia. Whether it is used for academic, athletic, or social purposes, Cazenovia Lake remains a special place for students and alumni of all ages.


Cazenovia College is located in Madison County’s historic lakeside Village of Cazenovia, along U.S. Route 20 – a scenic byway commonly referred to as America’s Main Street. In Cazenovia, a variety of restaurants and stores ‑‑‑ all within walking distance of the campus –‑ offer casual and fine dining, as well as coffee, pizza, subs, and other goods and services necessary to college students.

The close proximity to Syracuse, NY, just a 30-minute drive from Cazenovia, makes transportation from Hancock International Airport and the Regional Transportation Center (train and bus stations) easy. Beyond Syracuse is the Finger Lakes Region; the foothills of the Adirondacks rise just an hour north of Cazenovia; and to the south the rolling hills of Central New York’s farm country are home to several ski areas.
