Again this year we have a selection of females that we believe in their potential and from the best breeding bulls. Another strength of this sale is the choice of the service sires on these heifers with unique proven bulls. These have already a very high popularity, which will give you, on your first calf, a worthwhile investment!

Une des forces de cette vente est sans contredits le choix des saillies sur les taures offertes: une sélection de taureaux uniques que vous ne retrouvez plus sur le marché libre. With our growing herd each year, we select our subjects from a wider range of calves, which, my friends, guarantees you a superior quality of females that will be beneficial for you! With the great success FGAF Magnum 901Z had last year, bought by Beechinors, we could not stop now! It is with enthusiasm that this year, for the first time in our history, we open our herd at 100%, giving you a very special lot: the pick of our 2013 bull calves. Also featured this year, are the first daughters of Kananaskis ... they are just gorgeous! Finally, I personally want to thank our consignors who once again offer their best females. Comme toujours, les facteurs clés pour déterminer votre participation à cet événement, comprennent la beauté du lieu et le programme de sélection génétique méthodique. En effet, septembre et ses magnifiques couleurs d’automne entourant la ferme Gagnon constituent un des beaux décors de l’est du Canada. En plus de ce paysage à couper le souffle, vous pourrez admirer le magnifique troupeau de la Ferme Gagnon . Il s’agit d’une situation “gagnante-gagnante “ comme destination. Je réalise que l’événement a de nombreuses possibilités d’achat intégrées dans l’infrastructure vous permettant d’acheter sans y assister (y compris notre professionnalisme pour vos achats en toute confiance), mais mon intention est de vous incitez à vous rendre sur place pour cette vente. Je réalise aussi que 75 ou 80 lots pourraient peut-être justifier un peu plus votre déplacement, mais seulement le fait que vous pourriez voir votre prochain taureau de troupeau dans l’enclos des jeunes taureaux de Gagnon est une justification économique par elle-même. L’an dernier, nous avons lancé le bal, à la «dernière minute», avec l’ajout d’un jeune taureau directement sorti de l’enclos des taureaux quelques heures avant la vente. Cela est devenu, cette année, le “choix du taureau de l’année “ de la Ferme Gagnon. Avec la profondeur de ce troupeau de vaches et la force de la batterie de taureaux, il est probable que plus d’un taureau «soit présenté» dans l’aire de vente le jour de l’encan! Appelez-nous pour plus de détails, le soir avant la vente ou au matin de la vente pour vous assurer que vous ne manquerez pas votre chance. As always, the key factors to determining your own attendance to this event includes the beautiful location and the methodical genetic breeding program. The timing of the year presents a landscape that is as beautiful as you can find in Eastern Canada. The large, often red, maple leaves cover the mountainsides around the Gagnon Farm. Accessorizing this backdrop is the always beautiful, well marked, well developed, well bred Gagnon cowherd. This is a “win-win” trip any way you slice it. I realize that the event has many variables incorporated into the infrastructure that make it easy to not attend (including our trusted order-buying abilities), but my opening is intended to entice any of you to make the effort to join us in Cheneville. I realize that 75 or 80 lots would allow many of you from a distance to justify the trip better; however, just the fact that you may see your next herdbull in the Gagnon bullpen has to justify itself economically. Last year we initiated, at the “last minute”, an added bull calf lot selected right from the bull calf weaning pasture next to the sale facility. This has grown into the “pick of the bull calves” from Ferme Gagnon in this year’s sale. This does not mean only one will sell, time will tell, the “pick” could very well become multiples involved. With the depth of this cowherd and the strength of the bull battery, it is highly likely that more than 1 bull will “trade” in the sale ring on auction day! Call us for more details the night prior to the sale or on sale morning to assure you don’t miss your opportunity. I would like to thank our valued clients and good friends, Beechinor Bros. TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. INFORMATION SUPPLIED - The information contained in this catalog is believed to be true and accurate. However, the information has been supplied by the seller and neither Transcon Livestock Corp. or Jamesway Enterprises Ltd. assume any responsibility if the information supplied is not accurate. CATTLE PICTURES - The images in this catalog are believed to be accurate representations of the individual animals. Transcon Livestock Corp. and Jamesway Enterprises Ltd. assume no responsibility if the images as received have been altered. ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalog. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has

SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. BREEDERS GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale. ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors. or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both.
