Dear Friends, Welcome to Heritage Cattle in Hungerford, Texas! On behalf of my beautiful wife Gayla, daughters Megan, Kristen, and Erin we would love to take this opportunity to let you know we are very appreciative for your business and loyalty. Since our decision to host two auctions per year, one in September and one in April, we have assembled a team of professionals to help us make these events extra special and very enjoyable. I want to take this time to thank them publicly and encourage you to use their services. First to my good friend and one that I seek council from regularly, Tim Lockhart from Cattle In Motion. Next, to Milton and Yvonne Charanza from Broken Triangle Marketing and owners of the Brahman Review. Our families go way back, Milton actually helped me with my Lonestar Farmer’s degree during my senior year of high school. (wow ..that’s been a while) Since that time he has supported and encouraged my efforts throughout my career. My auctioneer for today’s sale is one of the best in the business, Mr. Lex Forgason, he is one of two cousins that I turn to for help on sale day. The other is Rachel Williams Cutrer, owner of Ranch House Designs. She and her team are undoubtably the best in their field and we depend on them greatly for the majority of our printing, website and advertising needs. And finally, Mrs. Victoria Lambert owner of the Brahman Journal, Vicki is one of the hardest working women in the Brahman breed. I have been on numerous international trips with her. I can tell you first hand, when you see her dragging two rolling suitcases full of Brahman Journals across gravel parking lots and down dirt roads, while carrying a backpack with her camera in 100 degree weather. You realize just how fortunate we are to have her and her husband Carl promoting the Brahman breed through the Brahman Journal. We are excited about today’s offering, it is our largest sale to date but also one of our highest quality. Our special guests consignors are loyal Heritage customers and have brought a great set of replacement heifers for your consideration. Sale at Heritage Cattle in Hungerford, Texas Terms & Conditions Air Travel: Houston (HOU) and George Bush International Airport (IAH) are located approximately 1.5 hours north of Wharton. Wharton Regional Airport (KARM) has a 5000’ strip located approximately 5 miles South of Wharton. Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or good check payable to Heritage Cattle in full to sale clerk immediately following the sale and before any cattle are released. Insurance is at the discretion of the buyer. Howard Miller Livestock Insurance 817-732-1872. Health: Every animal in the sale will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipping. Cattle in the state of Texas are certified free of TB and Brucellosis. Liability: Each animal will become the buyer’s responsibility as soon as sold. The owners, employees, auctioneer or other affiliated personnel will not be responsible for accidents, but will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of the animals and attendees. Registration and Transfer: All animals sold will be transferred at the seller’s expense, upon receipt and clearance of full payment, through the American Brahman Breeders Association Announcements: Any announcements made from the auction block on sale day will take precedence over any previously printed material or supplements. Cattle for Export: All cattle sold for export must be paid in full immediately following the sale. Seller will supply all necessary health testing required for export to the buyer’s specific country. The buyer must arrange for the care of the animals until proper health papers can be completed. Breeding Guarantee: Buyers will receive two straws of semen from Heritage on each heifer purchased. It is the responsiblity of the buyer to breed their heifer either by A.I. or natural service. If a heifer does not become pregnant, Heritage Cattle reserves the right to try for a six month period to breed the heifer. If the female proves to be a nonbreeder, a female of comparable rank, or credit on the purchase of another heifer will be offered.
